Lovely grade 2 building, staff were great, two sides to the pub, so pub meal in the bar side or waitress service in the other, food was very nice, came pipping hot, very reasonably priced. Taxi service too, if you're going on from the pub. The room was a very good size, nice and warm all throughout the stay. Beautiful decor, lots of dark wood and stained glass everywhere. Really enjoyed our stay.

Everything about Mere brook house was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the breakfast was lovely and the house itself was grand and comfortable at the same time. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lovely welcoming staff in what is not dissimilar to a TravelLodge or Premier Inn-style hotel. The food is basic but good value. They obviously serve families on a regular basis and there are facilities for children's play outside or for parties inside.

Heswall is a friendly little town, with a good selection of small shops and eateries. Please do visit the book shop! From the outside it looks like any other shop, but step inside and you will be bowled over with what's on offer, which even includes a cafe. Heswall offers easy access to other destinations on The Wirrall, including the delightful West Kirby. It is a great spot to explore places further afield, such as North Wales, Chester and Liverpool.

i enjoy viewing architecture & art, so the old buildings whether occupied or abandoned I find interesting to check out. I was total self sufficient with my food so did not eat out locally. Birkenhead & its adjacent districts are fairly well sign posted. Satnav is good. but without postal codes, mistakes can be made with journeys to wrong places.

We have family on the Wirral and wanted a base from which to visit Liverpool. We also visited Port Sunlight on this trip, but have explored the Wirral and Crosby/Formby areas before. Wirral in general is lovely to visit with good walks and nice beaches. There are also plenty of good places to eat, in addition to plenty of public transport.

The area of Port Sunlight has very good transport links into either Liverpool or Chester by metro train or buses, both of which are reliable and frequent. There is a lot to see in the area such as a very good garden centre and an art gallery and museum, all worth a visit.

A good selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Regular type of shops but Independent shops too. Good train service and station close to town. Buses run regularly too. A nice walk along the promenade blows the cobwebs away.

We used taxis for most of our travels although a train station is not very far. Up the road from The Bebington, we went to a Pub called the Sizzling part of the Acorn. Good food great atmosphere. Close to Liverpool and Chester. We were there for a Wedding close by . Lovely. Small village but nice . Nothing flashy. Enjoyed it.

Friendly welcome, independent shops, walks to Hilbre, Red rocks, the sea lake, and a day in Ness. It is a place at peace with itself and has a cafe culture - people looked well and restaurants were busy - not sure if people visit from outside the area to eat but the sailing and windsurfing facilities were a big attraction and fun to watch
