This was one of the very best hotels I've stayed in. The interiors are beautifully chosen, trendy and timeless at the same time. The bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. The view was incredible. All the attention to detail was exactly as I hoped hotel will be but rarely do I find they match up. Room service and food was excellent and the bar was lovely to hang in. Diego the host was so lovely and we were totally taken care of the whole time. And all the other staff including the lovely blonde girl on reception whose name I've forgotten!Lorraine gave me a treatment in the spa and I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever had. I left feeling utterly refreshed relaxed and taken care of. Thinking of coming back for NYE in 2 weeks we loved it so much.

While the interior appears a little dated and tired when you first enter, the furnishing is actually very tasteful and makes you feel at home fairly quickly. It is somewhat the nature of places in Eastbourne, given they do tend to cater to an older demographic from what I can see. Room had a good view of the sea. Cooked breakfast in morning was high quality. Staff were all lovely, from reception desk to bar staff to waiters at breakfast. Definitely a good place to stay in Eastbourne, not too far from the main coastal strip.

An excellent hôtel in every way. A modern looking building on the seafront in a prime location. Welcoming staff on arrival. I had a super little single room with a seaview and a huge balcony. A really nice stay in the heart of Brighton Marina. Some hotels say they are dog friendly but are actually dog tolerant - allowed in the room but nowhere else. Not this one, we had a great meal in the bar with our idiot. The room was great and they provided a dog bed and bowls which was a very nice touch. We will be back.

Brighton at this time of year is such a vibe.

Brighton at this time of year is such a vibe. The city centre was beautifully decorated, with plenty going on, including a free mini grotto for families. With a bit more research, I would have stayed longer, but I wasn’t able to on this occasion. I’m already excited at the thought of returning — 3–4 days would be ideal to explore more. My favourite place to go was the city centre and my go to now is Milos.

Fun place to be great restaurants likecmalayalam and the beacon has a roast dinner at shades in the restaurant. It’s a friendly place with a beach that you can sometimes if lucky find seaglass on. I love the promenade and historical old hotels. The piers always fun with the starlings flying around and I just love the place! Hope you will too! I love walking up the hill with the wackiest place for a football pitch and friendly coffee shops by the Italian gardens and opposite the hill. So many hidden treasures in charity shops and just great food Toby carvery at Christmas for delivery was handy. Local pizzeria was very good too we had cheese pineapple olives at puzza2nite reasonable price.

Lewes is very good as a place to stay if you are interested in history or just like browsing local shops. It also has excellent railway connections so you can get to Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne and up into Sussex by public transport. It is hilly and a good base if you want to explore the South Downs by walking. A good range of restaurants, pubs and cafes too.

This was coupled with a trip to the De La Warr Pavilion and Hastings out of season. St Leonards has some interesting new cafes & independent shops popping up along Kings Rd near the station - possibly not enough for a sole destination in its own right but the location was handy & you can actually park in parts of St Leonards.
