The room was amazing value. Fully stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits, etc and fan plus hairdryer - most unusual, in my experience, and both greatly appreciated. Exceptionally clean and little touches - prettily folded towels, lovely quality shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap - just made the space feel 'finished'. Breakfast in the conservatory, feet away from the river, was such a relaxing way to start the day. Fantastic choice - fruit, cereal, full English, etc, beautifully cooked. The nicest thing, though, were the people I encountered, from other guests, kitchen staff, waitress, manager and owner. All so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. It was a lovely experience, from start to finish, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so special and for being so kind about my late arrival and rubbish sense of direction. Will definitely be back !

We liked being able to stay in a hotel that was close to our family. It was a convenient location and we were happy with our room. The staff was very friendly. We loved being able to use the facilities...the driving range. The adventure golf was closed due to snow the day we wanted to play, but we hope to play next time we stay. We enjoyed being able to use the lounge area by the bar to hang out with a big group of family members.

Nothing to complain about here. Spacious hotel, good on site parking, our room was a family suite and very nicely presented and comfortable and modern, unlike the hotel overall which is quite old fashioned, and lacks modern decoration and a modern character. The breakfast offer was generous and typical English. For the price I paid it was excellent

Surprisingly a lot to offer from a small town. A good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Art and history. The beaches there are gorgeous. A great place to stay for a relaxing break. Lots of great places to eat and buy food, and shops to browse around. The seagulls are quiet and polite as there is a £2500 fine for feeding them, so they are used to catching their own fish. Do walk along to see the fish stalls and the giant clam.
