we stayed here while visiting familly, this location was perfect. We could take a short walk into the town. Staff were fantastic and very helpfull. Room is a little small but very comfortable for the price. Breakfast is excellent and made to order. Parking is avalable at the back of location but a little tight for a large SUV car. We will definetly stay here again during our next visit.

Lovely town, quaint areas, of quality resteraunts, shops, Don't miss Thatchers - it is like a 1950's giant Co-Op - but with a huge stock of up to the minute electronics, traditional bedding etc- all you need for your home - all of the best quality - lovely to see it all in one place . Such welcoming staff- a step back in time, once more I feel that all the props for Downton Abbey could have come from there !!!!!! Taunton is quality throughout- enjoyed our visit

Lovely town. Different to most as it has a certain mystical feel to it being set in Somerset and surrounded by the likes of Glastonnbury and Bath. Lovely journey from Bournemouth all the through the hamlets to Frome via Salisbury. Lovely shops and pubs

Wells is a beautiful city which has retained its character and is not too tourist focused. The Cathedral is fabulous. The facade is amazing and we thought our view of the Cathedral from The Swan Hotel was one of the best we have ever seen. We went to choral Evensong in the Cathedral. It could not have been better! I want to come again.

It’s a place full of spiritual kick knack shops eg. Crystals, incense, earth mother, fantasy, ethnic type. Nice local people & folk music. Unless there for an event, I’m not sure it’s a place to stay long in but interesting to visit as such a profusion of ‘alternative therapies & spiritual stuff’

worst part of Yeovil is the bottom end of town in the pedestrianised area as there seems to be a regular crowd of junkies and unsavoury types hanging around drinking bottles of unknown substances and smoking weed and nobody is moving them on. Top end of town is more pleasant but parking is a really bad problem.

Plenty of places to eat/drink out, enjoyed a few visits to The Quay Inn Some interesting walks with varying degrees of effort and good views Long beach/coastal walks there is a pleasant public garden (Blenheim Gardens), with a few interest plant specimens The heritage railway with trips to a number of other locations offering various points of interest Close to Dunster, with it's mill and castle, but also a number of interesting building outside the National Trust zone again plenty places to eat/drink

I was only passing through and stayed one night just outside Wincanton. I only had time for a short walk round the town but found a lovely independent cafe/delicatessant, 'Clementina', comfortabe with a warm welcome. I had a lovely coffee and almond croissant to warm up, and while in conversation with the ?owner, she only charged for my coffee as a birthday treat!! This was a quiet Sunday morning in early December but would stop off again and be interested to see more of the town.

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.
