What a gem this place is. Small and perfectly formed, an open plan living room/kitchen with everything we needed to be comfortable. The bed in the separate bedroom was comfortable and the location was excellent - out of town to be quiet, but an easy 20 minute walk to the centre of this beautiful town. Hosts friendly and checked we had all we needed. Shower was good pressure.

We stayed for two nights in a Large Double Room with Private Bathroom as opposed to the regular double room and it was well worth it. The room and the bed were huge and very comfy and the added touch of complimentary fluffy dressing gowns was much appreciated. Breakfast was good too and with 2 pubs within easy walking distance for evening meals we were very happy with our choice.

A fantastic destination right in the heart of the Shropshire Hills. Beautiful walks and a lovely town with plenty of options to eat out. We particularly liked The Kings Arms, The Little Cafe and the Church Stretton Fish Bar. For a short, local walk we would highly recommend the Rectory Woods routes. For more challenging walks and stunning views we'd suggest the Long Mynd.

Bishop’s Castle is a lively and historic market town, full of character and charm. It offers an array of independent shops, welcoming pubs, and a variety of accommodation options. There’s plenty to explore in and around the town, making it a fantastic base for walkers. It lies close to the famous Offa’s Dyke Path, along with many other scenic walking routes. The locals are friendly and welcoming, and weekends often bring a delightful craft fair to the town hall, adding to the town’s vibrant atmosphere. Nearby towns worth visiting include Welshpool, Oswestry, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Knighton, and Presteigne. If you're looking to venture a bit further, Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Leominster, and Brecon are also within reach and offer even more to discover.

A lovely, tranquil little town.

A lovely, tranquil little town. Two great pubs- White Horse has good food & micro brewery, whilst the Sun had a great selection of local beers and a real old pub atmosphere. Clun has interesting old cottages and a ruined castle. It's very picturesque. The locals were friendly and welcoming. We had a great time at the annual greenman festival.

We had a great stay at Craven Arms and were made to feel very welcome. There was bread, milk and a few treats wating for us on arrival, which we really appreciated. The house was well maintained and a great size for a family of 3 and a good location to explore Shropshire and beyond.

Great for families, lodges are spacious and private with wonderful views over the fields, waking up with ponies in your garden is fantastic. Accommodation is basic but clean and well suited for families. There’s not a lot on your doorstep so stock up on food etc before you arrive 😁

Leintwardine in itself was not our primary destination, or the reason for this visit. However, as a base to tour the area, it offers enough local restaurants. I like The Lion. For those travelling by car, please take advantage of the local filling station. Must be the cheapest fuel in England and worth queueing up for!

The garden was lovely and the location of the Boyne is great for walking the clee hills and surrounding parkland and forestry. The Boyne is very much a community pub and therefore lively at the weekend. The food is good pub food but limited in choice - would have liked less chips or at least an alternative potato dish. Staff were excellent and friendly so all in all a great stay

Beautiful rolling hills countryside. Small narrow country lanes were a challeneg. Especially when the sat-nav took you down them. Lovely cafe in Clun called the Post Card Cafe, good coffee and delicious cakes.
