our stay at Rooms at Uphill was excellent. The staff were friendly, always helpful and smiling. Breakfast was very good and severed hot no issues. We booked a table for the evening meal and found the restaurant clean and good ambiance. the food was exceptional and severed in a professional manner. my wife complimented some of the dishes as some of the best we have had and i agreed. Rooms is just a few minutes walk to the beach and also there is the church on the hill for more energetic walkers, but not after the meal. i would say a very well done and would recommend Rooms at Uphill to everybody.

One of the most beautiful hotels we’ve stayed at: the eye for detail regarding decorations and interior design is simply extraordinary! We stayed in a family room, and then booked another night in a double room: both were just amazing and so very comfortable and clean. Wonderful location by the seaside, WSM is absolutely gorgeous and worth a visit! The staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was scrumptious at an amazing value, nothing was ever too much to ask. The pool was great, safe on-site parking, what a find! We will be back, highly recommend!

Very nice place for a longer stay. The food was excellent in the restaurant, and we enjoyed breakfast as well as dinner there. The location is close to motorway, but far enough removed, so you can't hear the noise from it. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and we felt very welcome. This is definetely our new go-to choise for accomodation in the area around Bristol.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot for the price, but I couldn't fault it at all. It was clean and pleasant, and the staff couldn't do enough to help and assist! It isn't far from the Grand Pier, so I'd say perfect location. I took myself and my 2 children to see Weston Carnival, and it was the perfect price and perfect location

It was a comfortable overnight stay due to an early flight. The facilities were really good, an extremely comfortable bed with the ability to make tea and coffee in the room. Dinner options were varied and the continental breakfast was excellent. Very short walk to the terminal, ideal in every way

Great location if you like walking and especially on beaches. I recommend the beach at Weston Super Mare but also strongly recommend Sand Bay (slightly north of Weston Super Mare) with the great cafe there and Brean Beach (slightly south of Weston Super Mare). At Breach Bay I really recommend walking up to the headland near the National Trust place. I could not do it as I am disabled but my son loved it so much he did it twice !!

Lovely restored pier with information and little tea room at end and shop at entrance. Beautifully lit for Christmas. Run by volunteers so a must to support. Great tea rooms along the front (recommend no 5 The Beach). Lovely independent shops through small park (lit with lights for Christmas). Great coastal walks. Clevedon Marina Lake a must for open water swimmers.

Winscombe is the perfect location for a holiday in the Mendips. The very friendly village has shops of every kind ...including a bakery and a butcher.... and the surrounding countryside ...including Mendip Hills in every direction... is stunning. For more local walks, the course of the old railway line, closed in the 1960s, is perfect.

A pleasant environment.

A pleasant environment. Three decent pubs: up-market Royal Inn overlooking the Severn, a good, Weatherspoons with better than usual staff, another pub over-looking the harbour basin. Portishead a good place to stroll around. Lidl and Waitrose alongside the hotel and M5 just 5 mins away.

Uncomfortable and disappointing - there is no lift at the...

Uncomfortable and disappointing - there is no lift at the premises so luggage has to be carried up stairs, the windows had been left open so our room was cold and felt damp. There was no additional bedding in the room and the switches for the heater had been disabled.

Thank you Jen and Phil.We are delighted to have discovered Elmdale Shepherds hut it proved to be very welcome break in our journey. Romantic, utterly perfect, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean; with the essential ingredients provided we enjoyed a much needed cup of tea and later managed a simple supper from our picnic leftovers, (despite near by pubs restaurants and takeaways). Arrow taxis provide reliable early travel to Bristol Airport. Next time we must plan a longer stay.

The room was a good sized family room.

The room was a good sized family room. Bed comfy but the pillows were hard. Difficult to sleep especially for my husband with neck problems. Bathroom good size. It was good to be able to park right outside.
