The restaurant is offering really tasty food, I ate the daily special menu of venison loin with good wine and the Scottish whiskey, which the waiter recommended (it was exactly to my taste). Also there were multiple choices at the breakfast to choose. The restaurant has nice cozy atmosphere and beautiful view towards the Loch Ness. The room was spotless and big and from the window I had also partly view to the lake. In the front of the hotel there is a statue of the Loch Ness monster "Nessie" and other side of the road the small harbour, where I took the Jacobite cruise to the Urquhart castle. Hotel has good location if you're heading to Urquhart Castle or Inverness. Good parking lot in the front of the hotel. There is a souvenir shop, where you can buy e.g. "the Nessie". Good choice for the families too.

AustriaWe loved the service here, the staff was well informed and very friendly. We could park our car at the location and we quickly got our room and checked in. The dinner and the overall atmosphere was lovely and breakfast was delicious. The beds were very comfortable and by car the location was only a few minutes to Loch Ness. We didn't hear anything during the night from other neighbours, very quiet.

Lovely stay at the Lovat, the place is very well located in Fort Augustus, you can enjoy the beautiful reception room and its fireplace with a great selection of whisky, the bedrooms are very comfortable. The staff was especially welcoming and friendly. Thank you!

Small compact town, but with a few options for food places, gift shops and a short walk to go in search of the loch ness monster. Or you can watch boats navigate the locks right in the middle of town. Town in the evening was nice and calm and first thing in the morning also. By midday it was pretty busy with day trippers so keep that in mind

It has been a few years since I was last in Drumnadrochit, It has grown since my last visit. More amenities for locals and tourists, the people their are friendly, The local hub was informative and there were a lot of information signs too. Great wee place to visit.

A lovely village with a small shop where you could buy food and drink, a hotel offering meals and a great cafe. It's also next to lots of trails so you don't have to get in your car to go hiking. And a beautiful river runs through it.

The whole experience at this place was excellent.
The whole experience at this place was excellent. The scenery was to die for. The staff were very friendly. The food was fantastic and other travellers were lovely to meet. The most comfortable bed and pillows we have stayed in throughout our entire trip. The manager is an exceptional helpful, lovely person, would highly recommend this facility to travellers. It’s a little hard to find and the road is not the best but well worth the effort 😀

The drive to Hazelgrove along the lochside with the trees in their full autumnal colours was amazing. The property is set in a spectacular fully enclosed garden which out two dogs just loved. Great walks. Tores pub great food. Foyers cafe run by lovely guys who love to talk.

Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.
You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.

Drumnadrochit is a lovely village next to Loch ness, there are a few village shops and a couple of pubs. You can visit the Loch ness Centre, which tells you the history of the famous Loch ness Monster. I would also recommend booking a boat tour with Loch Ness Cruises in the Village. They take you out on the Loch with their boat the Nessy Hunter, which is very good.
You also have Urquhart Castle down the road, I'd recommend getting the 919 bus, this will collect you from the bus stop by the Village green and take you straight to the castle.
The Loch ness Inn is a good place for food or drink and does some lovely food.
You also have access to some good woodland walks too.

It is a cute little village tucked away from the hustle and bustle from the more touristy areas in the Loch Ness area. Waterfalls and the Loch are easy walks, and it’s a short drive to Urquhart Castle and other sites. There are not a lot of places to dine, so the Glen Mariston is a good choice. Reservations will be needed.

An especially beautiful section of Loch Ness with stunning views, and walking the Falls of Foyers was reason alone enough to visit. The Waterfall Cafe is a very welcome stop, and I recommend the cheese and haggis toasties when you're there.
