Janette and Bobby were great 😊, the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, great facilities, great parking. The breakfasts were delicious my husband had the full Scottish breakfast one day and the day after he had the avocado and poached egg on homemade sourdough bread, he said they were both amazing. I had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup on gluten free toast both days, it was yummy Cannot recommend Kilmory House enough, loved it

Fantastic property, quiet, great Bar and conversations, fantastic reading Room and outdoor Patio , all with manicured gardens and brilliant views. some of the trees on the property were at least 400-500 years old. It was a joy to stay at this hotel. Located near the town and ferry docks for access to the islands for wee bit of whiskey tasting drives.

At the "sea" end of the canal there is always something going on with the yachts in the basin in the summer . Its a great place to stop. A bit out of the way by road but that is part of its charm. Great to walk or cycle along the canal tow path. Beautiful surroundings

It was awful in every way, from the weed strewn car park to the flies around the dining room windows to the walls/carpets marked and stained. The food was trully the worst ive ever tried in 40 years travelling. The staff were in the main young and highly inexperienced. The hotel is refusing to refund me for the night i didnt stay and booking.com are just as bad. This hotel wAs not as described-avoid at all costs

The position of the hotel was superb and the ambience of the castle. Superb breakfast in a fantastic dining room with breathtaking views over the Loch and surrounding countryside The superior room was large, clean and comfortable, the only improvement could be back out blinds (given the time of year).

Terrific little town, quieter than nearby popular places. Lovely waterfront lawns & seating. Fabulous gift shop & book shop & very busy but delicious fish & chips. Crinan canal on edge of town for walks. A delightful gem, worth a stop.

Comfortable, pleasantly traditional hotel with good food and good beds. Views to die for. Friendly staff. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. I can recommend fresh fish and vegetables and also a very tasty chicken dish with mushrooms, My partner loved the mussels. I had a full breakfast with the best scrambled eggs, delicious sausage and bacon, tomato and mushroom. Good coffee. Prices a touch expensive but a glorious experience. One of my favourite hotels.

The house was quite cool on arrival and I tried to set the woodburner fire but the door was broken and the fire fizzled out. The previous tenants had left the heating on high so the cleaners had turned it down. I thought the electric heating was sealed and couldn't find any instructions on how to operate them. Both TV"s in the bedroom and the main room wouldn't work and the landlady asked a tenant upstairs to try to fix them. Roughly 2 days of our stay were trying to work out how to work the heating and TV's. The cleaner arrived and sorted out all the issues. We couldn't repair the bedroom Tv and a cable had become loose for the main tv. The landlady was unable to come out as she lived 40 miles away. The information left was minimal and there wasn't a book to find out what other visitors thought. It was also quite dangerous trying to leave the driveway onto the main road as visibility was obscured by parked cars.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Clean comfortable and surprisingly modern bedrooms with fabulous en suite bath and rainfall shower. Lovely grounds (60 acres) that could be explored. Exceptional value for money. A few miles from Tarbert, but a long way from anywhere else! Good if you like peace and quiet, and dark skies as there absolutely no light pollution.

Beautiful Loch views.

Beautiful Loch views. There was a Coop for your shopping & also other little shops too. There was a lovely fish & chip shop that had a little cafe too. The food was lovely & nothing was too much for them. Most of the people were friendly as well.
