Beside the river in Aberlour city centre and close to everything. Rooms were big with comfortable beds, nice amenities and a bath tub - and they were named after speyside whisky distilleries. Parking was easy as they allocate lots for guests. Breakfast was delicious. We had a great night doing whisky flights in the bar - their stock list is immaculate!

Amazing, we truly loved it. We stayed in the Gatehouse and it was very charming, clean and with all you could wish for. The staff is very attentive and welcoming, it really does feel as your Home away from Home. The garden and estate, dont get me started. Really spectacular, oh my just georgios. Amazing! Given the cost wasn't high, we didn't have huge expectations; just a place to sleep. However it was great! Firstly, it's about a 5 minute walk to the car rental drop off (all companies; right around the corner) which made that super easy. Super fast check in and the room was spacious, comfortable & very quiet. They were also flexible, giving us a later check out due to delayed flight. Breakfast was great; tons of good quality hot & cold options. For us it served as brunch, which works great on a travel day. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Highly recommend- easiest airport hotel experience we've ever had!

This is an older establishment but our room was large and well appointed. It was not flash but you could see it had been a quality establishment 30 years ago. We loved having a mini fridge in our room. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant it looked well patronised and prices seemed good. The bus into the city stops about 100m from the front door.

We didn't really come in order to explore Aberdeen, but would like to return and spend more time exploring. We called in briefly at the Marine museum and would have liked to look around the port. The local people were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to eat near the hotel- e.g. Italian, Japanese sushi, kebabs, fish and chips, Wetherspoons.

We went to Ballater to be close to Balmoral Castle, where we went to an artisans market on the grounds. We were there in October, so opening of other parts of the castle were not available, due to royal residence use. I would return to this beautiful part of Scotland again if given the chance, to see more of the castle.

Another Scottish town that's looking and feeling the effects of an ageing infrastructure and a lack of investment. Shopping and eating from restaurants is a very hard-to-navigate one-way system that's not user-friendly if you're unfamiliar with the area.

The hotel was excellent lovely accommodation, delicious meals. The staff couldn't do enough for us. My husband played golf in Lossiemouth at the Moray Golf Club it was a fabulous course. What a lovely experience. We then visited the famous whisky shop in Elgin and purchased a lovely bottle to take home to the UK.

Great restaurants, pubs and cafes and made to feel welcome at them all. Particularly the MacRaj Indian Restaurant and Harbour Lights cafe. Great walks at both West and East beaches as well as the Riverside (not really suitable for those with mobility issues). Peaceful place with local people that actually talk to you. Spent many happy trips to Lossiemouth and hopefully many more.

Fochabers is a quaint, lovely small town dating from the 18th century. Easy to drive in and find parking. It’s a convenient location to use as a base to visit surrounding historical sites, look for local shops for made in Scotland goods, go to some distilleries or drive to the coast. Beautiful Castle Gordon next to the town, offer tours. First Highland Games of the Season are held on the Castle grounds in May. There are at least four places to stay, Gordon Castle being one. Delightfully diverse dining options; most are an easy walk. Depending on where you stay, dining is also available on site. We stayed at the Red Lion Tavern that offers a fabulous breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fochabers. Please consider this lovely village as part of your itinerary.
