Fantastic Hotel. The staff are amazingly helpful and genuinely enjoy their work. They are all so helpful. I had dinner on the Friday evening and it was first class and not overpriced. Presentation and service were first class. The room was large spacious and spotless. Comfy comfy bed. Just bring your toothbrush and toothpaste as all other toiletries provided by the hotel and good quality products. Breakfast was continental but you can have that as well as a choice of cooked to order breakfast. Again superb choice. I cannot wait to spend another wonderful night there.

Exceptional food, classy service, super comfy mattress and bedding, hidden getaway feel. Great location as the Albany Hotel is near the beaches, cathedrals, and the castle. Literally all the tourist attractions in St Andrews is just a walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is unlimited and fulfilling in such a way that you can get away without having lunch. Breakfast included different fish varieites, English breakfast, different cereals, fruits, milk, and so on. There is a cozy lounge where I was reading. It is warm and silent in the night. There are a variety of books about history, for example Celtic Britain, fiction, etc. There was a man; I am not sure whether he is the owner, asked me whether I enjoyed my stay while I was having breakfast. When I said that I was leaving St Andrews the next day, he said that he wanted to make my last day special. I was moved by his kindness. The hotel is a family business and I like the staff there. During night St Andrews was cold but when I entered the hotel, it was a new world. I felt like home. The interiors are beautiful, cozy, and importantly, soothingly silent. There are paintings hung inside. The price for one whole day was about 100 pounds but it was completely worth it for the location and the experience. So I would recommed anyone coming to St Andrews to stay here.

Dunfermline Abbey - resting place of Robert the Bruce is well worth a visit. Room very comfortable and facilities of high standard. The staff were extremely helpful. View of bridge made our stay but traffic noise was constant and may be a problem for light sleepers.
