A small hotel in the best yet quiet location in Orléans. Friendly reception and the fastest check-in I've ever experienced. The rooms are small, typical of the city center, but perfectly adequate and very clean. Likewise the sanitary facilities. It is 300 meters through the old town to the banks of the Loire. An underground car park is 100 meters from the hotel.

We only stayed for one night as we needed a place to rest en route to southern Spain. It was a fantastic place to stay, clean, comfortable, well equipped rooms, welcoming and nice facilities nearby for food. Really good value for money and an ideal stop over when travelling.

I needed to find a bed without any dinner or other...

I needed to find a bed without any dinner or other facilities late in the day and only for the night as would be moving on early the next day. Therefore cost was the primary concern. It was cheap and the bed comfortable, though the room noisy when other guests were moving around the building or noisy in their rooms. Don't take breakfast option, it was poor value and not as you might expect when at reception. Behind reception is a pleasant looking restaurant, however breakfast for this hotel is in a side room which is not so pleasant and with not a great selection of food and drink. Check in staff did not make this clear when option offered at check in.

We didn’t like much about it at all 🙁 The hotel was supposed to have a restaurant, but we were told there was no restaurant because of holidays! Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price but we left without it!!

The town is lively and full of young energetic people of...

The town is lively and full of young energetic people of color. It felt like home. It is difficult to find people that don't speak French here so be prepared to do quite a bit of Google Translate. This however is not a complaint just an observation for non-French speaking people. Food establishments are diverse and if you love African food I'd recommend placing aon order through Uber eats. I'd recommend a vendor called Foodside. Very yummy filling food. There's a water body nearby where a lof of the young people hang out its quite peaceful and not unruly. I felt somewhat safe but one should always be careful and vigilant wherever they travel to. The streets are quite thin and its difficult to find parking so leave your car the the hotel and explore the town on foot or public transport.

I stayed overnight on my way back to Calais.

I stayed overnight on my way back to Calais. I wish that I had spent a day or two exploring Orleans. There was so much character and history in the city. Also, the walks along the riverside looked beautiful. I will definitely come back for a longer time to experience more that this city has to offer. Try talking along the Rue du Faubourg de Bourgogne. There are some amazing buildings and a vast array of small eateries and bars. And the well-worn cobbled streets seem to take you back in time. So much to see.

Simple but clean hotel for a low price. People were friendly. It was a pitty that you could not have a meal. But in the neighbourhood there were a few possibilities. It is a nice hotel for travellers.

The area has changed a lot in the 20 years we’ve been driving through it. It now has a tram and it seems very busy with commuters and people being dropped off Flix buses. We were told that it is now considered a ‘mini paris’. I think that is a little over-ambitious!

Place Martroi great central spot , lots of cafes eateries etc. in the old town & down to the river. Cathedral lived up to expectations. Don’t bother with the sightseeing train - little to see that you can’t do on foot.

Very convenient for an overnight stop en route from southern France to channel crossings, only a few minutes from the autoroute. Few options within walking distance for eating out but basic catering facilities in the room allow for preparing and cooking a simple meal.

We always try to stay here as an overnight stop on our way home from the Spanish border. Always enjoy this hotel. Easy access to and from the A71/A75. Our dog is welcome which is so important for us. We had a fabulous ground floor room with the advantage of a fridge and a safe in the room. The hotel has been restored and redecorated to a high standard. Breakfast has always been good and the hotel has now added evening meals.
