Location was beautiful and peaceful. Conveniently close to Forcalquier. Kevin and his parents very extremely nice hosts and his mother's homemade jam was spectacular with the local goat cheeses. Spacious, clean, so many facilities for us to use, loved that it was a whole villa to ourselves and it was private although there were other villa’s around it was still like like our own private home. Every bedroom had a ensuite, balcony, garden view. The pool, the outdoor area, the garage, the washing machine and dryer, the kitchen and kitchenware was great, living area was comfortable and great for a family esp with dinning area. We loved our stay here! It feels like it away from the city but it’s still a 5-10min drive away so it was a perfect hideaway.

Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle.

Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle. In the town you will find the basics: supermarket, some restaurants, others. The old towncenter is nice, and late afternoon (not on marketday) we found good parking facilities. Tip: google maps doesn't know that some streets in the old town are closed and it navigates inside impossible places. It's better to park next to the river and walk 3 minutes to the center.

Pertuis is an unglamorous, normal, quite large village located not far from interstate A51, the vertical highway that divides the eastern and western halves of inland Provence. From Pertuis, it was easy to get to both our westernmost destinations (i.e., Avignon) and our easternmost destinations (i.e., the Gorges du Verdon), as well as to Aix-en-Provence to the south, yet the village was completely non-touristy. I would definitely stay there again.

Mane is fully equipped in spite of the fact it is very close to Forcalquier. The small town has a superb bio grocery store (central square), a butcher, a post office, etc. There is nearby the Salagon museum (former monastery). I didn't have a car, and I walked around for the ten days I was there. The more I walked, the more I discovered walk paths all around.

It’s a charming french village. The best croissant aux amandes, best croq monsieur (a french version of ham and cheese sandwich), best ice cream. I have tried the lavande and the framboise flavors. Excellent! And a bonus surprise: I discovered a barista shop, for coffee lovers! The best double expresso I ever had! I am from Brazil and I drink coffee everyday. The best of the best was in Forcalquier. A hidden gem!

A great base for exploring the Luberon Region. Manosque has several attractive pedestrian streets, with elegant stores and friendly bars.
