The location was exactly what we needed, and it's right by an outlet shopping centre. The girl on reception when we checked in was extremely helpful when we were trying to get food delivered for dinner. Lovely big room and everything was in great condition as it's a fairly new hotel. The breakfast was extremely good.

I chose an accommodation close to the airport because it had a transfer to the airport included with breakfast. However, nothing can be higher than the gentleman at the reception whose name I could not remember because I was very stressed due to the loss of a luggage on the way to the accommodation. Sausages could have been cooked better and possibly as we only arrived down 30 minutes before breakfast ended the selection wasn’t great. Location suited us perfectly and the Lady on Reception was fantastic, her understanding of customer service is Top Shelf.

The hotel is located in what seems to be a business area with repair companies, warehouses etc.. So I was impressed when I walked inside the lobby and the room as I found the quality of a 4star hotel. Seems pretty new or renovated establishment. The breakfast area that is also a restaurant (we arrived to late to try it) has a wonderful view towards the water and the city of Martigues. Some of the rooms should also have - ours was on the 1st floor. 20 minutes away from airport so if you arrive relative late or have to leave early it could be a nice option. Breakfast was also very good - all the standards were available!

Staff was very kind, grat price performance, in the centre of the lovely town martigues, private parking, we had a great experience, maybe the only thing missing was a fridge in the room, but the staff put our things in the fridge and lend us some wine glasses and corkscrew. Looking forwared to return as we fell in love with martigues and provence

Fantastic place. You have so many amenities. They give you a box with tennis rackets and a lot of balls, ping pong rackets and balls petanque balls for adults and children alike. Coffee capsules and cakes. Swimming inflatables...well you name it. A very special place. A big thank you to the owners.

Had no time to enjoy it but there was a swimming pool in the motel. Room is well conceived, there was no carpeting and there was a small kitchen space. There is also a desk so it is convenient to work as well.

It was an experiment for us to join our cruise in Marseille using air travel. We stayed in Vitrolles due to late flight time, We now know that we could have taken a shuttle from the airport to Marseille Station which would have suited our plans much better.

Just needed to stay the one night to be at the airport for early flight. Warm and sunny so sat outside the evening before at the sister Hotel Ibis pool and enjoyed a lovely dinner there too. No restaurant/pool at the Ibis Budget but this sister hotel is just next door. Rooms basic, clean and comfortable and staff were fun and friendly. Ideal for early am flight. Would definitely recommend for this purpose.

Martigues is a lovely port town that seems to bustle along without getting over busy or crowded, it has a lovely safe feel and the people are friendly. L'Ille is a delightful little island placed between the 2 sides of Martigues and has its own charm.

Istres is a sleepy place, with a beautiful old-town. The old town is situated on a steep hill with narrow streets to wander around. Reaching the church at the top, you'll find a great view over the old-town and the bay. At the doorstep of the old town you will find a beautiful promenade under the trees with terraces, shops and restaurants. Istres is charming and unlike bigger cities, still calm and laidback. Recommended!

I was very surprised by the service the owner provided...

I was very surprised by the service the owner provided during my short trip. He was very punctual with his shuttle service, had good recommendations for eating nearby, and provided a wonderful breakfast buffet. Very much worth the price of this little airport gem.

The location is OK forwarded you have a personal car or vehicle. If not: all tourist accommodations are too remote. There are some perfect restaurants at the seaside, near the port. The QG (very good) and the Pizzeria nextdoor or "Chez Nous". Perfect Pizza's! Only with a personal vehicle there are some nice sightseeings in the neighbourhood. Sainte Marie de la Mer and Aigue-Morte are two exciting locations. Also Arles, Avignon and Nimes are worth a visit when the weather is not hot but cloudy.

The coastal area of Port de Bouc is changing daily.

The coastal area of Port de Bouc is changing daily. The nearby beach was plage de la Commandents ? The local authorities had tried to stop coastal erosion but the local swimmers were noticing the change in the shaley stone beach conditions. The Pizza shack was still open near the entrance to the slip path to beach but it looked as if their sitting area had been newly cordoned off. One cliff top house had a red barrier and that had appeared since morning. I liked the marina area with several restaurants open in the evening. The square by the railway station was also a good place to sit. There were several buses to different destinations by the post office.

Saint Chamas is a charming village on the western edge of...

Saint Chamas is a charming village on the western edge of the etang in Provence. It has a great boat harbour and considerable locak and ancient history. Thankfully not a main tourist town bit close enough drive to such sites as Les Beaux de Provence that it makes a great base. Plenty of places to eat and stay and the pick would be the Embarben Maison D'hotel. Probably a little busy in summer but with French rather than tourists. So happy we found this gem!

Small town with nothing.

Small town with nothing. In the city center, we ended up in an area where Arab men sat in every cafe and drank coffee in the middle of the working day. We did not see women in this area. It was very disturbing.
