CroatiaThis accomodation has very nice interior, everything is new. Location is peaceful and calm near the lake. It is close to supermarket, restaurants, pub and agency for booking trips and activities. This place was very clean, kitchen is well equipped, there is also sauna, etc. Host was very nice and communicative, he was taking really good care of us and was always ready with every information and help that we needed. He informed us on time about everything that could be important for our stay in the area. I would recommend this object to everybody and really hope to return here at least once again someday.

Quiet, excellent location. Wonderful nature around & close to cross-country skiing routes. We could watch the northern lights from outside the house. Sauna small but functional. Wood for the fire-place ready in storage.

The skiing was very family friendly and worked for most skill levels. The lighting at new years made it special to ski in the dar or later at night, but with only 2 hours of sunshine at this time of year, most of the skiing is at low light. We did have fantastic sunsets.
The resort itself is very highly maintained, and the slopes were well looked after and at even -20'C we didn't experience much Ice.
The side we stayed at with the Saaga Hotel is probably the quieter side and so ideal for just a few days. If We ere going for longer we would now book the other Lapland hotel as there are more restaurant choices that side, especially with more adults in the group.
We used Lapland Safaris to do a family snowmobile trip and whilst expensive it was a full day and great fun. Our guide was great and we visited the snow village which is a must just to see the artistic snow carvings

So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle.
So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle. Just above you while you are on bed or few steps from your cabin. Just install the northernlight alert app and go enjoy your stay within the premises , it will sent alerts for the area you’re in and that’s what we did. Realy great experience and so magnificent to see the dancing colorful northern lights . Breathtaking . The location is perfect away from the city however the city center is not too far only around 5-6 kilometers.

One of the calmest places I’ve been to!
One of the calmest places I’ve been to! It’s featuring beautiful landscape and very few people (we were outside of the high season). There are a lot of attractions such as snowmobiles, skiing slopes and cross-country skiing tracks - a lot of them! Also, there are a lot of options for activities such as dog sledges 😉 one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to, definitely recommend!

This was a lovely place to stay.
This was a lovely place to stay. Bigger than some Lapland places we have stayed in but not too big. Probably around 5/6 restaurants and pubs, a really good supermarket and alko shop.
Only a 5 min bus ride from the north slopes of Yllas ski resort and plenty of outdoor adventure companies providing the standard stuff - snowmobiles, huskies, northern lights etc.

Perfect service at the airport from the car rental company; our car was already warmed (-25C outside when we arrived).
Ylläsjärvi is a beautiful place with lots of good cross country skiing tracks and possibility for downhill skiing as well. Worth visiting especially if one adores nature and quiet!
