SerbiaFirst of all, this is a great boutique hotel, with high standards applied and great staff! When we came and during our stay, we met great, kind, open and helpful receptionists Mekdes and Mahlet. We also met some male colleagues working on the doors but we did not learn their names. Nevertheless, they were all very kind and helpful. And this is what make one hotel cozy and reliable, and us guests to feel like at home. Than we've met a manager, young professional who visited each room before we checked in because he wanted to be sure that everything is in place. And he did not have much to comment on, because everything was indeed in place, and we've checked in with pleasure. Than we've met the great staff from first floor - restaurant. Apart from the fact that food was excellent (especially ribs, wraps and burgers), the staff was really making us feel like at home. We need to extend our gratitude to Mekdelawit, Meaža, Ažeb, Tirsit, Dawit, and few more persons whos names we don't know, but who all together turned to be so nice, friendly, openhearted and helpful.
The location is not central, most of Europeans would like to be placed centrally (this is the reason why we didn't give the highest mark for this criterion), but actually, this location and this area is proper Addis and proper Ethiopia (unlike the city center), and we've enjoyed it faaar more than the city center. And we warmly recommend this location rather than the city center or the Bole area: here is a real life, the life style is like in NY, this area lives 24/7, it is quite safe, very busy, lot of small shops, you will find everything you seek for, lots of local restaurants and coffee shops, places where to make a break etc. And do not avoid local places where Ethiopians come - we preferred these kind of places, and we were not wrong: the atmosphere and vibe is so good, you will be surrounded by nice, openhearted and smiley people, and you will for sure like the local coffee.
