The team in the hotel and the owner were gentle, lovely and supportive people. The breakfast was delicious and included the possibility to have plant milk that is often difficult with allergies. Gluten free cereal was also available.
We also order a parking space for our car. In the evening the hotel also offered a pizza kitxhen and in the afternoon ice cream, so that all of our needs were catered for. Being right near the main city square, we also were able to participate in the local markets, folkloric entertainment, and other music fetes. By the time we left, we felt that we were almost locals.

Aranxa, the owner, made us extremely welcome. We had a lovely room with a terrace and view of the ocean. The location was perfect for anyone with their own transport. We had use of the garden and kitchen facilities. Within easy reach of fantastic beaches, pretty villages and an amazing bird sanctuary. An extremely relaxing experience and highly recommendable.

Fantastic Castillo, we booked an amazing room in one of the turrets which was super warm and comfortable, terrific hot shower in gorgeous bathroom, fabulous food and wonderful staff, easy secure parking .. we loved it! A very special place to stay ♥️

Exceptional views. Quiet spot in natural surroundings away from trafic and holidaying crouds, but it’s still very close to the shore and the village below. It’s some 2’700m distance & somewhat steep 80m ascent. Very welcoming staff!

Such a beautiful place in a peaceful part of the world. Everything is thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The food that Janí makes is top-notch, as is she! Marco is also an incredibly kind host. I hope to be back one day.

Bermeo's main attraction is the harbour area where all the bars & restaurants are located and few steps walk up and you can see everything Bermeo has to offer. The part of Bermeo away from the harbour is mainly residential with tall towers, which we can say is the new extended Bermeo

Visited this quaint beach/surfer town in off-season and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very few foreign tourists. A couple nice tapas bars were open and filled with locals. Charming streets and views of the sea. Frequent, reliable train service available to other towns along the coast and all the way to Bilbao.

The Museo de la Paz is impressive, a visit there cannot miss during the trip.
For dinner it is necessary to book a tablet in advance, as per all the cities in the Basque Country.
With the Eusko train you can reach in 30 minutes some villages on the coast such as Mundaka and Bermeo, very beautiful places. You can buy the Barik card to travel at a very low price on all kind of public transport in Bizkaya.

It is a small village. I like the buildings and the port. People are very friendly and kind. Make sure you are fit to walk up from the port to the middle of the town, as the way up is very steep. The restaurant at the port is outstanding, with its food, service, and value for money. It is a charming little village.

If you want to stay in the country side this is a lovely...
If you want to stay in the country side this is a lovely place. If you need a short airport layover this hotel is too far away and costs too much once you add €90. including tip via taxi to reach the hotel.
If u have a car it’s a very pleasant stay in the countryside along a bubbling brook.

The area of Bermeo is very nice for the nature and calmness. Near to it are interesting places to see (Mundaka, Busturia), with car or a little bit more walking San Juan de Gatzelugatze. Enough restaurantes, but not so much cafeterias.

A real gem.
A real gem. Atmospheric little town perched on coast with great views of bay. Good beach, clean water. Coastal town walk, outdoor bar in little park. Lively place, families enjoying the atmosphere.
Good train service to Bilbao and other worthwhile places.

So close to the Bermeo Port and wonderful coastal attractions plus parking was close and convenient.
The host was wonderfully helpful when my phone company let us down so I could only communicate by email and non-mobile telephone.
We had a truly fabulous time in Bermeo although it is an unusual Spanish town as lunch is the main meal and Dinner is not really offered by the Restaurants.
Our only problem was an inability to get the dishwasher to work, whether that was our ignorance or a dishwasher fault is unknown to us.

A great little town.
A great little town. We were there during summer and tour de france so we had a lot of options for things to do. Great beach, cute little fair type thing near the marina with rides for kids. We don't surf but it is very popular for that with more than one school.
