Absolutely amazing stay at the castle! Everything was just perfect. The view, the garden, the breakfast, the pool, the restaurant.. Our room was outstanding ..a big terrace, with a breathtaking view...especially during the sunset.. A big plus is the staff who works at the hotel, especially the Romanian lady at the front desk, she was amazing . Everyone was so nice, helpful, and made us feel very comfortable. Thank you, and hope we will return soon!!!

This place is a piece of Heaven on Earth. The staff are amazing, We had use of the Spa facilities, which was included in the price. The food in the restaurant was amazing and a very good choice of dishes. You must try the Pork in the pepper sauce devine and the prices are very good. Amazing service and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs, a genuine smile. The Breakfast is a Buffet ample choices available and delicious,. Kettle in the room with tea and coffee no milk though but I never go on Holiday without my coffee mate. Pure luxury at affordable prices. The TV in the room is a smart TV and has the choice of Netflix and Prime you just have to login. But you really do not need the TV in such a beautiful place. Parking available on site.

Calm, scenic location tucked in the Andalusian mountains, super peaceful but still close to Málaga. Beautiful, thoughtfully designed spaces everything feels new, curated, and made for unwinding. Serene pool area mountain views, shaded loungers, and a real “switch off” vibe.

This looks like a great town, lots of older style white painted buildings. The few people we met were very friendly. Some of the streets are in excess able for cars but there is a large free car park and also a car park that runs along the river.

Ojen is only 7km from Marbella, but feels like a world away.

Ojen is only 7km from Marbella, but feels like a world away. It's a small mountain town, not a typically picturesque tourist town like Frigiliana, but that's what we liked about it, most of the people are locals. It's a very hilly town and some accommodation requires quite a climb up the hill, ours was well situated and within easy reach of the square. There are a couple of very good restaurants (Boca Bistro and Vikingo Taberna Gourmet), other good restaurants and a couple of good coffee shops (we sampled most of them). Restaurante Gau-txori is a great early open - early close restaurant/coffee shop where the locals hang out during the day, a lot of home made food. The restaurants are all open at the weekend, but during the week they take turns, so you may find your favourite restaurant closed. The families all come out at the weekends and the square is full of chatter and kids playing. The surrounding area is stunning, though to really see it you need a car and a lot of time. There are great walks in the mountains, you can swim in river pools, there are natural parks all across the area. The municipal swimming pool is really nice and in a fantastic location.

We wanted a chill out break & that’s what we got!

We wanted a chill out break & that’s what we got! The place is so peaceful & quiet , the views of valley & mountains amazing. The road to the property is a little precarious so we stayed put, cooked on the bbq each night & enjoyed the place. Pool is small but water is refreshing to dip in. Wi-if was fine. Big tv with Amazon prime so could watch movies in English. We were first guests so it was missing a few utensils ie kettle, chopping board, wine glasses, but we managed!😬Sofa very uncomfortable. Hope they change that 🙏

This is a lovely village , mostly pedestrian as the roads are too narrow except for the locals! There are great paths from here, we picked easy ones, and just now ,early may,- so many wild flowers. We also had the tapas festival and a band in the square, we may have been the only obvious tourists...a delightful "local" place.

We liked the fact that it was non touristy and typically Spanish. Plenty of walks around the area but transport is limited so if you want to sre other places nearby then a car is recommended. Staff very helpful and accommodation hood only lacking a kettle in the room. We tended to eat out locally as eating times in the hotel were late breakfast only served from 9am until 10.30 whivh was late if you needed to leave early. However, there were plenty of local cafes in the town itself that served breakfast.

Casarabonela was a quiet Spanish town with few facilities.

Casarabonela was a quiet Spanish town with few facilities. We couldn't find a restaurant open at lunchtimes and wouldn't go out in the evening for a meal as the track back to the villa was very difficult to negotiate in the dark. No lighting, narrow tracks and very difficult driving conditions even for a very experienced driver. Very attractive but lacking in general facilities for visitors. Alora nearby was much better.
