We loved the location which was in a quieter part of Ronda and good for parking. The hotel we were told was a private home at one point and it must have been a fabulous house. I think it would be great for a wedding or small party with a group because there is a large tiered outdoor area, and pretty well everything you need. Our only regret is not staying longer . I did try for a swim but in late September with a bit of a wind in a large unheated pool, it was really chilly. We thought the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was served in a lovely patio area. The hotel view is spectacular, and I loved that you could see the farms below, and that there was a walking path to get down to the bottom of that area. Our bed was very comfy, with good pillows, and a very nice bathroom.. The decor is quite modern and fancy which isn't my usual style, as I like the bohemian look and feel, but the rooms were so new and clean in a gorgeous setting so I enjoyed it. They offer a small fridge with snacks and drinks if you need for an added fee, and it was incredibly comfortable in our suite with some seating, and large windows to look at the view. I just wish it had been a few more days there in Ronda.

Honestly, words cannot describe what this stay meant to my family and I. Also, the design was amazing... It looks like it was Inspired by Philippe Stark. Also, the greenhouse was out of this world. Our experience with the manager at the restaurant made our whole 3 weeks in Spain. I know that soon, the price of staying is going to be very high. So while it's reasonable, do not hesitate.

What an absolutely beautiful place.

What an absolutely beautiful place. To see the architecture of the various structures in the village is striking. Match that with incredibly friendly people and excellent restaurants and you can't ask for more.

I stayed for a week which is longer than usual. It helped that it coincided with Corpus Cristi, a 4 day event with Zaharan customes (but also with a lot of noise!). In normal circumstances I could easily stay for 4-5days alone or a bit longer with friends. There are the ruins of a castle with the village constructed steeply upwards, with an (artificial) lake below - quite spectacular. But you have to be prepared to face streets that either go up or down, and never level!

Beautiful village with great hiking from the doorstep and nearby. Always at least one cafe open each morning, and one restaurant each evening (they must agree a schedule between themselves) Food was good in all of them. Hiking in the area is challenging but excellent. Permits, when needed, are free, and easy to obtain from the tourist office by the police station. English spoken

The most beautiful area and easy to get to.

The most beautiful area and easy to get to. The town is attractive with all the white buildings and central church. The long paseo has plenty of seating and at least half a dozen bar restaurants alongside. The locals are especially friendly and helpful and prices most reasonable. Ronda is under half an hour away and the coast only an hour by car. We went at end of March with warm days but chilly nights. The town does have some steep streets and our accommodation was at the top of a hill so needed some stamina to walk back after an evening meal.

This is a beautiful Spanish village and typically, it is built into the hills of Andalusia, so the streets are very steep. This didn't impact on our holiday but is merely a warning if you have mobility issues. We stayed early September and the bars/restaurants didn't open every night, some were only open at weekends. They typically opened about 8pm until midnight, but all times and days varied. The local people were lovely, they were celebrating a festival the first few days which we enjoyed. This is a lovely place to visit if you want a quiet, relaxing time. We used it as a base to visit the cities and towns in the west of Andalusia, so managed to get to Seville, Cadiz, Ronda, Jerez de la Frontera all within 1-2 hours.

it is a small and cute white village in amazing surroundings. The city itself is not exceptional, compared to other white villages. The location is really amazing - just next to the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema. You can start many day trips from here, such as to the beautiful Ubrique in the middle of the park region, or to the historical locations of Benaojan or Ronda, of course. To drive here, you can also enjoy scenic routes, such as the one via Juzcar.

It depends on when you go.

It depends on when you go. Town and surrounding area can be overrun with people. The last trip was in November and the weather for me was great, there were few crowds and everyone was much more calm. The town is a great central spot for seeing the area and you can do day trips to Malaga without much problem. The town itself has lots to offer if you hunt around there are some great places to eat and interesting sites to see. Walking is pretty easy but there are some uneven streets and hills. Nearby the Cueva de la Pileta was an interesting side trip as was The Cueva del Gato. The White Villages are all fun to explore. Meson Duquesa was a great spot for tapas on a sunny afternoon

Lovely town to visit.

Lovely town to visit. There was a festival on when we were there. A re enactment of a historic event 'sangre y amor en last sierra' which related to a Bandelero in the 1830's. This added to our visit. There weren't many restaurants open in the evening so visitors should arrange for an early dinner. Food quality was very good.

The location of the town, famously straddling a deep gorge, lends astonishing views from every aspect. The mountainous backdrop and olive groves beneath, add to the picturesque location. The historical centre itself is completely charming, and visitors can enjoy palaces, churches, museums including the old bullring, and Arab architectural sites as well as the town’s natural geological features. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops as well as the usual souvenir shops and some more unusual artisanal products.
