A unique place and a beautiful setting. Tastefully refurbished and the room was very nice, yet a little small. Not just a hotel but an experience, really worth a drive or a detour. Very friendly and helpful sfaff.

Located in a quiet village just off of the main road, this hotel of apartments was exactly what we were looking for - self catering, clean, warm and good value for money. The hotel manager was excellent and responded quickly and professionally to our late booking. Kitchenette was well equipped with a Kettle, Toaster, Coffee Maker and a fridge.

We stayed last year and loved it so much we made a return visit for a couple of extra nights this time. The location is perfect, the apartment is one of two in a small building next to the main house, and the view from our patio looked up a wooded slope to the mountains. it is on the edge of town with views of the Church, and any easy 10 min walk to the centre.

In this extremely well located and beautiful town, we had a delightful stay in this very hospitable, comfy, lovely and pleasant Casa. Breakfasting on the beautiful terrace was a rare treat. For exploring and hiking in both the Anso & Hecha valleys this is exceptionally well located. Our hosts were very kind and considerate.

Just a short walk from the bus stop. I arrived very early due to bus time, but was able to check in as my room was ready. The food was enjoyable. Breakfast was buffet style and dinner was 4 course with multiple choices. The hotel is right across from the old train station and very close to many different trails for hiking.

I felt like the owners couldn’t do enough for me. I arrived in the middle of a busy lunch service but I was checked in and supplied with the cold drink I so desperately needed. Great room, excellent sleep for the two nights that I stayed. Nice food. Perfect for my rest day on the GR11. Thank you.

Good heating, hot water, full kitchen, nice and quite, free parking. There is a storage place for your skies downstairs, but with no heating :( Iberdrola is installing EV charging station near the hotel, but it was inactive during our stay. The road to Astún take around 20 minutes.

Great location, great hotel with spa and many many rooms to relax in, especially with kids it is great - there's a kids play room as well. Food was great, even the mojitos were very well done too, sometimes hard to find in a hotel bar. Loved it. Will return

Liked the facility remodel; the grounds; the staff!

Liked the facility remodel; the grounds; the staff! Disliked the slow dining room and the lack of open hours for dining. Opening at 8PM is fine for Europeans, but not for others of us. There were no opportunities to purchase books, cards, historical videos, etc about the Station and the Railway lines. Surely, this is a huge faux pas on the part of management!

Great for families with children or beginners in general.

Great for families with children or beginners in general. Lots of offer for beginners and also good for advanced skiers, but beginners have a big separate area that is very safe for first times. Also, excellent teachers at the Escuela de Esquí Candanchu. They are very good with children. If you are looking for lively apres-ski, better to stay in Jaca. However, Candanchu is the perfect place to avoid hassle in the morning, right by the slopes, good facilities and fun. You can pop down to Jaca in the evenings if looking for other activities (ice skating, visiting the Citadelle, the cathedral, good restaurants, etc).

Ansó is a beautiful medieval village, we drove over a mountain road to get there The interior of the church is stunning There is only a few bars but they serve good pinchos A lot of people were turning up at the campsite to eat in the restaurant there It's a lovely stroll round the village and there is s couple of grocery shops, one with a butchers counter A fancy delicatessen type shop too

Siresa was a base for me to enjoy nature and wildlife photography. It was ideal to visit the Pyrenees. Travellers should be aware the area is fairly isolated. There is a small mini market in nearby Hecho. My hotel provided picnic lunches which were ideal. There are a few restaurants scatter in the valley. Almost everything closes on Sundays not just here but also in the nearest large town of Jaca.

A pretty little town in the Pyrenees.

A pretty little town in the Pyrenees. Good local amenities, eg supermarket that stayed open late, little shops, bars, and restaurants although we mainly did our own cooking in our appartment. Immediate walking from Canfranc Estacion would be difficult as it's in a steep sided valley, but a short drive to Astun takes you to the base of chairlifts which whisk you up into the glorious mountains and access to hiking paths at the top- really lovely. Visitors might enjoy the sheep and mini horses with bells around their necks- quite a surreal sound!

Lovely quiet village with variety of walks in the area. We loved the walk we did from refugio de Linza. Beautiful. Stunning landscape. Need to reserve a table at one of the bar/restaurants if you want more than tapas. It may seem like not many people are around but they have limited space.

Anso is a wonderful little village in the heart of the Spanish Pyranees. I did not have a car but there are wonderful walks starting and ending from the village. For those people with cars, there are easy day trips to the high mountains. There are wonderful restaurants in Anso - the Kimboa and the Marberal come to mind as particularly delightful. And if you have a car, there are bordas within 8km of Anso up the road to Zuriza that serve absolutely splendid traditional Spanish cooking in a rustic setting. I am 77 but if you are younger, the Grand Route from Anso to Fago and the Grand Route from Anso to Hecho are not miss day hikes that I have done when I was a bit younger. The owner of the Casa Rural Turreta is a potter who makes absolutely wonderful things - and very reasonable!
