Everything is thought out for the guests comfort. Every detail has a lot of heart put into it. We especially enjoyed the extra comfy bed and the view from our window. Oscar and the team took excellent care of us. The breakfast they served for us every morning is an experience you shouldn’t miss. The welcome from Jose Antonio was lovely and check in very smooth. We had dinner on the first night and the food , wine and service were excellent. The Island Out of This Planet

Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. Its out-of-this-world appearance, due to volcanic eruptions of the 18th and 19th centuries, earns Lanzarote a well-deserved spot in the sci-fi film sets list.

The island has the longest volcanic submerged tunnel in the world (1,500 metres), the Tunnel de la Atlantida, which boasts the amazing Cueva de los Verdes lava tube with walls illuminated by coloured lights.

I liked everything about this resort, we stayed in one of there private villas but I loved the fact you had your own pool but could still use the resort pool, kids park, mini club etc, the staff on reception were so friendly they knew it was my birthday and had a bottle of champagne waiting for my arrival, the cleaners were so so nice and it was always spotless, the food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced

The perfect comfortable base for the holiday. The villa layout was good, with sheltered outdoor eating area just outside the kitchen and also a southerly facing sitting area by the pool. With three beaches, miles of promenade, dozens of restaurants, supermarkets and other retail, and great sea, mountain and island views, Playa Blanca has all you need for a seaside holiday. Plus, there's plenty to see on the island, especially if hiring a car.

Cleanliness of all beaches, and of areas around. Excellent bus and taxi services. Promenade accessible for all levels of mobility, prices in locals grocery stores cafes and restaurants very good ( fair). Quality and variety of food was also very good throughout the town.

Although a capital city, it's very walkable.

Although a capital city, it's very walkable. The lagoon (Charco de San Gines) is a lovely spot for restaurants, cafes etc., and people watching. The beach at El Retiro was closed for bathing on our visit. Apparently sun beds and umbrellas are due to make a return in early 2026. There is a variety of shops in the centre (and a big shopping mall about 15 minutes' walk away, not far from the bus station). There's not a huge amount to do - a couple of small museums, but otherwise some nice walks along the coastal promenade, and plenty of eating and drinking. It's low-rise, and wasn't too busy in early December. The Nao Cerveza brewery tap is worth a visit for craft beer lovers.

Playa Honda is great, we have been a few times now and is our favourite place in Lanzarote. Close to the airport, non touristy, nice people, good shops and restaurants and is safe and welcoming. Can easily get to other places for nights out and has a brilliant cycling promenade.

A small town with plenty of people around using the facilities for their daily life. Not a lot of choice of places to eat but enough the fakily run Spanish Taverna was amazing this I would recommend the best value ever and so friendly. Shut on a Sunday so you are warned lol!!!

It’s a very quiet town.

It’s a very quiet town. None of the glitz of the more famous places which suited us very well. The beach is epic. There’s a volcano pretty near in the national park. We are at two of the restaurants. Very good fish platters and burgers available. We hired a car for exploring the island. Famara is so small you can easily walk round it. Surfing and boogie boarding available.

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.

Puerto Calero is has a small marina, and is not too busy, it is great to walk along the cliff top paths, one to Puerto del Carmen, and in the opposite direction to Playa Quemada, both walks taking around an hour.
