Charming! It was very warm and cosy on a cold wet December evening, lovely open fire and very old worldly, very clean, The waitress was very pleasant and helpful .

Great hostal, clean and had everything we needed. Nice bar, very friendly. The owner was lovely and gave us recommendations for where to eat and a couple of nearby places to visit. Can highly recommended Ermita de San Frutos.

Justo, the owner, was really great. He was very interested in our trip on bicycles across Spain to Greece and helped with advice on the roads in the region, and stored our bikes safely overnight. The restaurant directly across the street has some of the best food we've found in all of Portugal and Spain so far! We feel rejuvenated.

The couple who own the hotel were so welcoming, we felt like we were staying with family. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a delicious home cooked meal in the evening and a fabulous breakfast which consisted of homemade juices, pancakes, scrambled eggs and cakes. We were even given a goodie bag for the next leg of our journey. Our room was beautiful, the hotel was the home of the current owners grandfather, it is very charming and full of antiques. We will definitely return to this beautiful establishment, there is a lot of love in this place.
