The best hotel during our trip in Spain. All the staffs were hospitable and agreeable, always showing politeness to the guests. The room condition was superb, surprisingly quite, and neat. Can’t miss the breakfast full of fresh fruit as well. My requests were sincerely heard and accepted thanks to such wonderful staffs. Although it was a short stay, this hotel escalated my impression of this city Granada making me feel to come back again.

FAQs about hotels in Andalucía

Pulsating with History and Tradition

Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.

Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.

Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.

You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.

Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.

Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Great city with lots of old streets and buildings to see.

Great city with lots of old streets and buildings to see. The Jewish quarter was really nice with its tiny streets and squares. Hundreds of cafes and restaurants to choose from whether for a meal, tapas or just a coffee. Easy to get around on busses or just walk. A lovely place to spend time in. Also we felt safe there at all times and everyone was friendly.

Malaga is a vibrant interesting city with lots to do and see which also feels very safe to walk around even at night. Travel from the Airport by train or bus is fairly quick, direct and cheap. I was there over Christmas and the lights and attractions were amazing. The people of Malaga seem generally very sociable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend it to others for a holiday or short break.

Granada is gorgeous, but it was extremely cold for me, sadly I am from Florida and I am not used to cold weather. With the cold though comes the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and beautiful snow peaks. I am very happy we went though, it was completely out of my comfort zone, we drove here from Sevilla and the drive and the gorgeous views we had I will never forget. If you never done this please try and visit. In terms of the Alhambra, we couldn't go in, unfortunately it takes months in advance to get a ticket to go but will try again in the near future. Their people are super friendly and showed us a lot of grace and hospitality.

Often missed by tourists who flock instead to Sevilla and Granada, Córdoba is definitely worth at least a 2-night stay. It feels more Spanish somehow. The Mezquita (mosque cathedral) is so unique and beautiful, and rivals most historic buildings we have seen in 30+ years of international travel! If you stay in the old quarter, it is easy to walk to most sites, restaurants, shops, plazas, and the river.

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing,...

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing, walking around the cobbled streets and enjoying traditional sherry tasting and tapas. I would highly recommend the Tabanco El Pasaje bar. It is very small and quirky with a very warm welcome with fantastic authentic flamenco every day - do not miss this. I would also recommend Las Banderillas for an authentic Spanish bar with a warm welcome for sherry and tapas. Unfortunatley, I would not recommend La kastiza. We went to eat on a weekend night, we found a table outside - yes it was exceptionally busy but numerous Spanish customers were seated after us and they were served before us so we decided to leave and eat elswhere. The dancing horses at the equestrian school were breathtaking. A good few hours walking around the house, museum, stables where you can interact with some of the horses and of course the show! Tio Pepe is another must, fantastic guide and you learn a lot about the history of Tio Pepe and how they make the different flavours. The autograph museum is brilliant & the shop prices are actually really good value. If you want to hire a motorbike or moped, I would highly recommend GCBIKERENTAL - very modern bikes at a reasonable price and the owners are very nice and helpful. It is only approximately a 20 minute drive from Jerez airport to the old town and to the Circuito de Jerez from the old town it is also only approximately 20 minutes. If you like culture, tapas, sherry and winter sun - this is the place to visit.

Cadiz is a beautiful little city steeped in history. We especially loved the Otarrio of San Filipe because they gave us hand held speakers in English so we could understand what we were looking at. Plus the building is was gorgeous with magnificent sculptures. Generally the locals are very pleasant and friendly. It’s definitely a cute little city to explore over 2 days.

We visited and skied in Pradollano during peak season. It was a very enjoyable and interesting experience, although there was not a great deal of snow during our visit we still managed to enjoy our time there during the weekdays. The weekends look particularly busy so if you don’t like a very crowded ski field might be best to avoid the weekends.
