The staff were very friendly and helpful — especially Nestor from the night shift who quickly fixed an air conditioner issue, and the kind lady from the morning shift (didn’t catch her name). The hotel is clean and well located if you’re traveling by car and want to visit Córdoba, Granada, Seville, etc. Free parking in front of the hotel is a big plus.

FAQs about hotels in Andalucía

Pulsating with History and Tradition

Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.

Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.

Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.

You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.

Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.

Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Places we visited Plaza de Espana Setas de Séville

Places we visited Plaza de Espana Setas de Séville Tile factory in Triana We didn’t actually go inside the cathedral, but thoroughly enjoyed walking around the exterior and seeing the architecture. The festive lights were still on which are lovely. We would have liked to go into the Alcazar, but the tickets were sold out for all of the days of our stay. Book online before you arrive in Séville.

The city centre is very pleasant to walk around. The Alhambra is a stunning monument, especially the Nasrid Palaces and despite Philip V's carbuncle of a structure. The Albayzin neighbourhood is worth visiting.

The Mosque/Cathedral was incredible.

The Mosque/Cathedral was incredible. The tower offered great views. Loved the intimacy of the old town with shops, restaurants…right there. The bridge/museum well worth exploring. We did go out to the Medina Alcazahra ruins/museum. We could only get on a Spanish speaking tour so didn’t enjoy it. (English) We thought 3 nights was perfect.

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing,...

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing, walking around the cobbled streets and enjoying traditional sherry tasting and tapas. I would highly recommend the Tabanco El Pasaje bar. It is very small and quirky with a very warm welcome with fantastic authentic flamenco every day - do not miss this. I would also recommend Las Banderillas for an authentic Spanish bar with a warm welcome for sherry and tapas. Unfortunatley, I would not recommend La kastiza. We went to eat on a weekend night, we found a table outside - yes it was exceptionally busy but numerous Spanish customers were seated after us and they were served before us so we decided to leave and eat elswhere. The dancing horses at the equestrian school were breathtaking. A good few hours walking around the house, museum, stables where you can interact with some of the horses and of course the show! Tio Pepe is another must, fantastic guide and you learn a lot about the history of Tio Pepe and how they make the different flavours. The autograph museum is brilliant & the shop prices are actually really good value. If you want to hire a motorbike or moped, I would highly recommend GCBIKERENTAL - very modern bikes at a reasonable price and the owners are very nice and helpful. It is only approximately a 20 minute drive from Jerez airport to the old town and to the Circuito de Jerez from the old town it is also only approximately 20 minutes. If you like culture, tapas, sherry and winter sun - this is the place to visit.

I visited the city during winter, so it was a bit cold, and it was rainy. The best part about Marbella is the Old Town. It was charming, with narrow alleys and nice tapas bars. The Christmas decoration was also very nice, but the Christmas market was just meh. I wasn't impressed with Puerto Banús. It was flashy and polished and feels kind of soulless. Overall, Marbella is a nice place to visit. I enjoyed my time in Marbella, but I probably won’t be back. If I had to choose, I’d say Malaga and Granada as both cities have more charms and characters.

The location was right on the beach was amazing. Our room was looking out to the sea, very spacious. Hop on hop of Bus outside the hotel door. There was not a whole lot too see on the bus, but once off and into the old town …so much to see. I would recommend the hotel to all

The slopes were great but we didn't think the town was very accessible for the facilities. I've stayed in much better ski resorts but if you just want a quick/short trip, it´s ok. We stayed 2 nights but would not want to be there for a week or more. At the end of the day the trip is what you make it - so we made the most of it! If you can stay right in the town it would be much better access for everything.
