Very comfortable stay, great hotel, amazing location, the quality of service is nearly 4 star! Best value for money in upper Egypt, that goes for whole city of Qena as well, untouched by mass tourism yet it has a lot to offer.

It was a pleasure staying at Nour El Balad. It’s beautifully decorated and feels very authentic. It’s quiet and peaceful, the staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We had both breakfast and dinner which I highly recommend. The surrounding area is beautiful and the locals are very nice. Highly recommended for when you’re visiting the sights on the West Bank.

Located at the gateway to Luxor, Al Moudira Hotel is the only palace situated on the west bank of the Nile. The domes and the patios ornate with arabesque makes up the oriental décor.

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt.
The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books.
The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out.
This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return. My wife was absolutely thrilled and insists that this hotel should become our go-to vacation spot!

This hotel is a little gem! We truly loved our stay here in this small boutique-hotel. All the staff was so friendly and very service-oriented. Having delicious breakfast on the beautiful rooftop was magical, especially when seeing all the hot air balloons early in the morning! We also had our dinner during our stay which was very good as well! The location is perfect, not far from the Valley of the Kings and Queens. The hotel has an unbeatable view on the Medinat Habu temple which is within walking distance! We found out that the hotel was the first and only hotel on the Westbank. Howard Carter and his team stayed here during the time the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered so for us this gave an extra dimension to our stay!

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, there is desert land and mountains behind the hotel with only a few neighbor houses, in front of the hotel is a ditch, and more land. I really enjoy hearing the sound of frogs and insects at night and birds chirping in the morning. The concierge, Mohammed, is kind, easygoing, fun, and a very helpful person. He made sure that my kid and I were feeling safe, comfortable, and having a great time during our stay. I booked a massage and a tour from the hotel, which were awesome and affordable. We loved the view, and my kid enjoyed playing billiards on our rooftop. We could even enjoy the newly finished swimming pool. We also love the neighborhood cat and dog that would come visit the hotel occasionally. They were super cute and friendly. We definitely would go there again.
