Where do I even begin - I wish the stay could have been longer. Jaz Riviera is phenomenal - the perfect balance of elegant, modern design considerations and uncompromised principles of hospitality. Everything from arrival to the very point when you leave, is special. We arrived in the morning, hours before the standard check-in time of 14:00 and Abdallah immediately assured us that a room would be prepped and we should head to breakfast in the meantime, while they finalise. We were given a free room upgrade and settled in the room by 11:30. The food, the beverage options, the variety of restaurants and ample seating between pools and beachfront is unmatched. The service and attentive staff of Jaz Riviera is truly what makes it world class - to our newfound bestie; Abdelrahman, as well as the entire wait staff between all the delicious meals - We are truly in awe. A truly priceless experience and an experience that will be repeated soon. Up to the very last moment when we are checking out to leave and Mahmoud at the front desk helped to organise our transfer to Hurghada- nothing is ever too much to ask for the Jaz Riviera team.

What a magical find! After my Red Sea liveaboard safari, I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect place to unwind.. Nestled away from the chaos of overcrowded resorts, this peaceful sanctuary offers tranquility, natural beauty, and genuine Egyptian hospitality at its finest. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The serene atmosphere, surrounded by desert and sea, makes it an ideal escape for anyone seeking peace and connection with nature. It’s quiet, authentic, and soul-soothing—exactly what I needed after days at sea. The food is exceptional—flavourful, fresh, and served with a smile. Huge thanks to Abil, the wonderful restaurant manager, and his amazing team for going above and beyond every single day. Their warmth and attentiveness made every mealtime a pleasure. A heartfelt shoutout also to Chico, the incredibly kind and thoughtful pool staff member who truly looked after me like family. His gentle care and positive spirit made my stay even more special. And if you’re a diver—you’re in luck! There’s a fantastic dive shop right on-site, ready to help you explore the underwater wonders of the Red Sea. The entire team at Wadi Sabarh Lodge is just wonderful—so friendly, helpful, and full of heart. I genuinely couldn’t have imagined a better place to relax, recharge, and soak in the sun and peace. I’ll definitely be back in October after my next liveaboard—already counting the days!

Very charming place to see how someone’s dreams come true. We had fantastic stay. The owner Mr.Amr was exceptionally friendly and made every effort to fully satisfy his guests. He knows how to treat his visitors so that they feel like royalty. Special assistance at visiting nearby beaches and amazing viewpoints reflected in unforgettable moments. Hotel management and the staff were very attentive also. Location - for sure future top class and luxury resort facilities with unforgettable roof top view, high comfort and cleanness, good hygiene, tasty breakfast and specially selected meals, comfortable and cozy public areas, evening gatherings with free tea and snacks. Nice and extremely kind personnel! Highly recommended! The Reef House Team thank you!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Akassia Swiss Resort in Marsa Alam – El Quseir and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Mr.Hosni Abdel Magied, the guest relation manager, an extremely professional and attentive person, ensuring that all our needs were met and that my stay was as comfortable as possible. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience and all of our group of four truly appreciate his efforts. The resort is situated in a stunning location, right on the Red Sea, with breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. The crystal-clear waters were perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. The beach was clean and well-maintained, and I enjoyed lounging on the sand and soaking up the sun, as well as near the heated pool in the vicinity of the Pool bar, where we enjoyed the fantastic cocktails expertly crafted. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the sea from our beds, with all the amenities I needed to make my stay enjoyable.Every day we came back from the sun bathing we were welcomed by very nice towel ornaments decorated with flowers and purple basil. What a wonderful scent! The food was absolutely delicious and varied, with plenty of options to suit all tastes and the restaurant`s location by the Red Sea made for some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. We enjoyed local and international cuisine, many types of grilled food, fruits, mouth-wattering deserts, accompanied by a large variety of soft and alchoholic beverages. But what really made my stay at Akassia Swiss Resort so special was the staff. I cannot helped myself not to mention Said, the most friendly and hospitable waiter always eager to assist with anything we needed Overall, our stay at Akassia Swiss Resort was exceptional!

A Perfect Getaway – We’ll Definitely Be Back! This beautifully maintained hotel is set in a stunning bay, with a scenic seaside promenade perfect for walks. Snorkeling is easy right off the beach, and there’s even a dive club on-site for the more adventurous. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped — ideal for a relaxing stay. The resort features three lovely swimming pools with plenty of loungers; no need to rush or reserve. The food is great: the buffet is varied and enjoyable, and the à la carte restaurant rivals a top European brasserie in quality and atmosphere. The staff — from the pool and evening bars to the restaurants — are friendly, helpful, and multilingual. They’re present without being pushy, especially when it comes to tips, which makes you feel at home. The entire resort — rooms, gardens, bars — is kept spotlessly clean. The reception and PR officers are always available and eager to help. Entertainment runs all day and well into the evening, with something for every age. Fun pool games, darts, volleyball, and more are on offer daily. This place ticks all the boxes for a great holiday — we’ll definitely return!

Second vist to concorde and it was as amazing as the first !! The room was beautiful it was massive, had touch screen controls for house keeping to make your room or not, your own personal WiFi box inside the room which was amazing! The staff made sure I had food as I arrived later on in the evening. The staff everyone was amazing asharf in the lobby bar and the manger in the reception cant do enough for you! The animation are a big part of the hotel not pushy for activies always happy day and night provided shows evenings and daily activities. Restaurant was OK I am a vegetarian and did have to ask the chefs most days if something had meat in as it isn't labelled if it is vegetarian including the salad as sometimes there was meat inside but I did find something to eat every lunch and dinner and the chefs got to know you and would come over to me straight away letting me know if there was meat inside which was amazing!! All the staff are so friendly in the hotel and are always so helpful if you need anything, they are always happy and smiling throughout the day home away from home 🤍

This time, compared to before, I experienced "Solo" traveler, as recharging holiday, and as it happens on past (with family) it doesn't make me disappoint on it. I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

We've been to Dahab, Sharm Al Sheik and Hurghada before.

We've been to Dahab, Sharm Al Sheik and Hurghada before. We really like being in Egypt and particularly the snorkelling the Red Sea has to offer, but we wanted to try something new. Marsa Alam is similar in terms of offerings for snorkelling and diving but much much less crowded and much less shopping options. In fact some of the beaches we visited - Marsa Egla and Tondoba Bay - were virtually empty. There were perhaps us and one other small group of people there. The snorkelling was excellent. I suspect most people holidaying in Marsa Alam stay in resorts and don't leave them much. Package tourism - you see these massive resorts up the coast. Marsa Alam itself looks like a city still under construction. There are more half finished than finished buildings. Half of what look like shops are yet to be occupied. We thought that was fine though - who wants to go shopping on a holiday? If you are into shopping this isn't for you. Noticeably, the people in restaurants and shops hussle and hassle you much less than other places in Egypt. I imagine all this will change in coming years given the volume of development. But for now this is a super quiet sea side spot. A village still developing. This also means there isn't lots of cultural things to do.But, if you like to chill with your travel companions, dive, snorkel, kite surf or just laze on a beach (think rocky Red Sea beaches, not Thailand or Australian white sand beaches) - then you'll probably enjoy this. We had good company, books and cards and had a great time. You'll need to make your own entertainment (or go on one of the many organised tours).

I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.

The place is small but pretty, with nice bars and restaurants and lots of opportunities for excursions. The restaurants offer good food, but it's a bit expensive for Egypt; you can tell that tourists are expected to pay more than usual.
