I had pleasure to staying at this hidden gem, it was like stepping into another world - one where time slows down, nature surrounds you. The island has its own farm, where people are welcome to pick fresh fruits and veggies- a true gift from the Nile. These vibrant ingredients become part of the meals we enjoyed. There are small boats and kayak available for guests to use, offering a sense of freedom and adventure. Recommend paddling to Seheil island with authentic Nubian village and fantastic view of Nile. Sherif and his team was incredibly thoughtful and generous. He not only coordinated activities on and around the island, but also create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that brought all the guests together. If you have enough time and are looking for a place to reconnect with nature, nourish body and soul, this island is a true sanctuary. I wish I could come back one day. 推荐集美们在这里可以多住几天,真的超级美好的小岛🥺

What I liked the most was the originality of the proposal, the architecture and the theme of the hotel, inspired by the Greek architecture of Mykonos but with touches of the Nubian culture, very present in the region. Everything follows this idea as I understand it, the musical shows, the architecture, the dishes. Ideal for those looking for a good hotel and a different experience at the same time. The human quality of the hotel staff is totally remarkable, Daher and Omar are remarkable, the receptionists on the morning shift are always in an enviable mood and the hotel manager is always attentive to everything, to also highlight the Spa services within the hotel itself.

I love all of it! The location is perfect, the house is just beautiful with all the nice colors and paintings and amazing views to the Nile. I stayed in a very comfortable and big room with a small balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful specially Aya and Tamer. And Tamer even speaks a bit of Spanish which is not common in Egypt. The breakfast is amazing as well as the Egyptian food options available if you want to have lunch or dinner. It is very nice to walk around the streets of the Nubian village and there is a local market very close where you can find lots of nice things.

The room was very spacious. I liked almost everything from the hotel, the view full the room, tv programs, spacious bathroom, equiped such as a good European hotel, small living room, chairs in front of the window to enjoy the view. We left the next day for a one day excursion to Abu Simbel, they gave us a complete breakfast box.The hotel has a direct access to the mall. The hotel is located right in front the Nile to enjoy the wonderful view and the train station is 5 to 10 min walking distance from the hotel. Around the hotel a lot of shops, the Nile boulevard, the mall, the local market (souk)

The hotel was really nice and clean and the staff were amazing. Rooms were spacious and had all amenities. Staff were very helpful and assisted with all our requirements, even packed us breakfast when we left very early for our tour. They also arranged a nice cake for a birthday celebration in our group. Swimming pool was a great addition and children had fun. The restaurant was great with nice variety of food and catered to our vegetarian request. All in all we had a great experience.

Visit the temples in the afternoon (after 03.00pm) because the is nobody (except perhaps some extroverted sceaming chinese girls - but once they are gone). Yes, it´s hotter than in the morning and the light is not prefect. but you will have the temple for yourself and you will be able to make perfect photos from inside.

The stay at Abdu’s houseboat was nothing but mind blowing.

The stay at Abdu’s houseboat was nothing but mind blowing. I stayed in the houseboat for 5 days with my mother. We both feel like we gained a friend in Abdu and hope to see him again one time. He is so kind and caring! Not only did he help us arrange everything in terms of tours (to Filae, Abu Simbel, a Nubian village, the botanical garden and more) and activities (Falluca sailing, Zaraha sand meditation, bird watching trip, exploring the Souk, swimming in the Nile, transfer to Luxor via Edfu and Kom Ombo and more), he also helped us with his second smaller boat to get everywhere, get local products for local prices, assimilate to the local culture by clothing and customs, cooked for us (he also made sure all food was well washed), helped us donate goods and clothes to the local school, and assisted us in getting tickets for the night train from Luxor to Caïro, ATM withdrawals and simcards). We truly think he has a heart of gold and works with honesty not soley for money. His houseboat has everything you need for an authentic stay. Our cabin was spacious enough for the two of us and had an amazing view over the Elephantine Island. The terraces was facing the beautiful botanical garden on Kitchener Island. Due to the placement of the boat you have some shade in the morning and you can enjoy the sunset in the evening. If you look for a real experience and want to dive in the culture and day to day livestyle on the Nile, the boat is definitely something for you. We are truly greatful we’ve met Abdu and can definitely recommend a stay with him on his lovely houseboat. We hope to see him again one day!

From the moment I arrived, I felt embraced not just as a guest, but as family. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the entire household created a peaceful refuge that allowed me to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what matters. I especially appreciated the loving way they cared for their children, the heartfelt conversations, and their openness to cultural exchange. The meals were nourishing, the environment was clean and safe, and the small, thoughtful gestures—like helping with errands or offering fruit—left a deep impression on me. I was also moved by their humility, sincerity, and the quiet strength with which they manage the responsibilities of life.

Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking.

Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking. We visited around noon on a blessed day during Ramadan, so there weren't many tourists. At times, it felt like we had the entire sites to ourselves. You can walk or take a transport cart to the sites.

Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region.

Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region. It s a great stopover for a break after the madness of the tourist sites. The Nubian village ( with the colored walls, where all the motor boats end up) on the other side of the town has been a place where i could have made local friends if I stayed longer. Of course the money making is also there in the mindset, and it s over touristic but you experience the vib of a local village if you stay overnight there. I suggest Ekadolli guesthouse for location outside the touristic area, still close enough to the village, up a hill offering nice view at the Nil. Nebro Guesthouse is better if you wish to wake up right beside the river, in the heart of the village but quiet enough.
