Visited as my grandfather’s family originates from this village. I was able to get a bus from Tallinn to Risti and the owner was kind enough to pick me up from the bus stop. They also helped me with some translation relating to my family - they were really friendly and helpful!
It was a gorgeous spot, surrounded by trees, and the lake and sauna house were wonderful. Great shared balcony spot to sit and watch sunset.
They also gave me access to a kitchen to cook in even though the room I stayed in didn’t have cooking facilities. Also, great air con!
Would definitely visit again!

It is a perfect retreat destination for a weekend. We've stayed there together to a friend family (4 adults + 4 kids). And everyone enjoyed! The nature, the house, the sauna - everything was lovely.
There was everything you need. A kitchenware, a bath towels, wood for fire, you name it.
The city is in 9-minute drive, so you can buy everything for a barbecue there.

Everything! It is a wonderful place in quiet and beautiful location with fireplace, sauna and fully equipped kitchen. Host is great and helpful. It was our second stay there, and I hope to come back again!
Recommendation: ask for the instructions about water upon arrival

A charming, historical spa resort much favoured by the late...
A charming, historical spa resort much favoured by the late 19th/early 20th Century Russian aristocracy, Haapsalu is faded now but still has an elegant charm. The old railway station (sadly disused since 1995), now a museum, was even specially constructed with an imperial pavilion so that the Tsar and his family could arrive and depart without having to wait with the commoners.
The Promenaadi on the seafront is beautiful and the ruined castle in the town centre is well worth visiting.
The Wiigi and Kuursaal restaurants are particularly good.
