It was a super calming environment, very quiet at night along with a big cosy bed meant I got the best nights sleep. The room was very spacious and so was the shower. The breakfast was also tasty and a much needed pick-me-up after surfing in the morning (which is only a 5 minute walk away). Ruben is very hospitable and accommodating, he made me feel very welcome during my stay. Probably my favourite stay after being in the DR for 5 weeks. Had such a good time I extended my stay twice.

If you are a woman traveling by yourself and need a safe, comfortable and welcoming hotel, this is the place for you! I had a wonderful warm welcome by so kind and honest persons, including the owner Antonia and the sweet Rosa ! The bed was really comfortable ! The room clean, I felt safe and at home. There is a nice grocery store near the hotel. And ROSA, who works there, what a wonderful person! I will not forget her kindness. Thank you for all !!!

Everything! This flat is huge! Like three large rooms all en suite, huge balconies, living room / dining room / kitchen areas was comfortable. High ceilings, internet worked fine, washing machine worked well as well. Also really liked the area of the complex and the infinity pool was probably the best part overlooking the sea. You also have private beach access. Also special shout out to Roberto and Jessie for being so attentive and provided the best customer service 💯

In the middle of Cabarete. On the beach. I was there with my brother for kitesurfing. Stumble right out of your room onto the beach. Pump up the kites and go. We each had our own room. Very clean. Made up everyday. We didn't have the rooms with a view by choice . But I hardly spend time in the room. The food at the restaurant Serenade was great. The people were super friendly. As well as the people from the Ion club. A week was too short 😎😊

What we liked most about it was the great service from the staff . Yocairy was an excellent manager who, greeted us, organised our tour to Cayó Arena and let us shower and stay longer in our rooms. The staff from the restaurant went over the mile to make our stay a wonderful experience.

Food was not good.

Food was not good. Service at the Buffet could have been much better. Rooms need attention. Lights need to be brighter, fans need controls, our door lock needed repair to lock. No water pressure in sink. The resort was attractive & kept clean.

i liked the location the best because i was able to mix with...

i liked the location the best because i was able to mix with the local people there. i learned alot about the Dominican culture and meet some good people. the night life was great the clubs and the casino were full of people on the week end. and i have to say the ladies of Sosua are gorgeous and friendly. the local message shop only charge $20 America dollars for one hour you can get that in the us. and they do an assume job. the beach water was a beautiful blue color and they have a variety of good restaurants.

They need to be more aware of safety on the beach. No control of jet skis and boats traveling too fast in and out of swimming areas. Also the road in front of the beach has cars traveling much too fast and no one monitoring that.

Property was as advertised. Very nice view. For the money $$$, I got what I paid for. Took a minute to acclimate to the place. My ONLY TRUE CRITISISM - - - (that I didn't catch until too late) was there was NO address or name of the property. There was only a discription.

I like the Mountains behind the Bay...I love to see those mountains..There is a Jesus Statue donated by Rio to Puerto Plata, a miniature reproduction..The market is fun..not much into beaches..Great Ice Cream on the Central Plaza next to the Church..The Church Steeple is a great reference point when lost.A nice bus ride of 2.5 hours from Santo Domingo..Came by Carib Tours...walked up to the place on day one from the Bus station..a 10 minute walk up the hill.

Sosua offers everything for a nice short holiday. a very beautiful beach is Playa Alicia. You have to pay for the sunbeds/ umbrellas but it is worth it. German butchers have great sausages and meat and also the "La Cantina" restaurant in La Mulata is great if you search for German food. The Playero supermarket offers a great variety of products.

Cabarete has a laid-back feel that is perfect for an easygoing vacation. The waves are fun the play in and the water/wind sports are fun and colorful to watch. Getting around is easy by walking. High tide will make some of the beach walking a challenge if you are too far down the beach, but still doable.

Having visited both Ensenada and Punta Rucia beaches...

Having visited both Ensenada and Punta Rucia beaches regularily over the last 25 Years Punta Rucia is by far the best ... Ensenada has gone down in all aspects. We loved our experiance at Punta Rucia Lodge resort, the service, prices, staff's attention and overall service in all departments was excellent, the beach front well kept, clean and serviced by security ( available if needed) wonderful place to visit!!

Nothing compared to what we see online.

Nothing compared to what we see online. It’s not worthy to visit the country, drive such a long distance and waste time and money to visit Puerto Plata. It’s not worth it. The beach just okay, the Centro Hisyorico” not worth it, and the such “teleférico” not in service for the last 3 years😐
