Very nice little place. Welcoming and friendly reception, even spoke Danish 😊 The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Quiet and clean. Delicious and varied breakfast at a very affordable price. Only a small fee for our dog The castle and city center within walking distance. Tram and bus right outside the door. We highly recommend Pension am Schloss for your visit to Schwerin.

Great location within walking distance to city attractions, very close walking distance to station. Staff very friendly, breakfast included a wide variety of items including eggs cooked to order. Room spacious, ours overlooked the back rather than the lake but was extremely quiet and well kept. Appreciated being able to check in early.

Wonderful Hotel Very convenient for us on the way from Lubeck to Munich( very close to the highway but in very calm and nice surroundings) Room is clean and spacious . Hotel full but no noise at all . Breakfast perfect . Staff super friendly. We will come back for longer stay for sure

Very well located close to train station and the Old Town. Hotel did advertise that it is situated along a railway, and even provided earplugs (and a very nice pillow spray). But it wasn't a problem with windows closed.

Really worth a visit at any time of the year.

Really worth a visit at any time of the year. Beautiful town center with the palace as main attraction. Good for water activities like kayaking in the summer. Nice Christmas Market in the month of December.

I had stayed in Schwerin some twenty years ago and always had wanted to come back. I enjoyed my second stay very much - just wish the weather had been better for us to have more walks along the water and in the delightful old town. I warmly recommend Schwerin to anyone wishing to explore this wonderful region of Germany. Restaurants serve excellent German food, the canals and lakes are idyllic, and of course there is the famous fairytale castle to visit: all in all many reasons to plan a stay in Schwerin.
