The hotel is new, in an excellent location, opposite the railway station but still in close walking distance from all points of interest. The decoration was excellent, the room comfortable, spacious and very clean. The soundproofing from outside noises was fantastic. Breakfast was great with many choices for all tastes. And all these with an excellent and extremely competitive price. Highly recommended

I had a fantastic stay at Waveboard Apartments in Potsdam. The apartment was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen and washing machine were a bonus for longer stays. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning view of the lake and the surrounding Potsdam area from the balcony—it was truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, theaters, and cultural landmarks. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring that check-in and any requests were handled smoothly. While there was no air conditioning, the apartment stayed cool with the lake breeze. Overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Potsdam, whether for leisure or business. Highly recommend!

The hotel has a wonderful, pleasant staff, we were treated politely and friendly. Very quiet place by the river, in winter peace and quiet. There is no new renovation, so expect a simple, neat room not overloaded with furniture, with white walls. Good location. You can get there from the airport by train. The hotel is 5 minutes from the station. The Lidl grocery store is across the street. We chose this hotel because it is very close to the Sanssouci Park, which we were going to visit. Potsdam's Brandenburg Gate and the city center are two tram stops away, or you can walk there. When we return to Potsdam, we will definitely stay again if possible.

Great location, fairly connected to Potsdam Hbf and close to Babelsberg S-Bahn station. Great breakfast! Not such a variety but good quality. Very very friendly staff. 🙂 Like the way how the room was accessible from the street directly (not needed to pass through the lobby).

It would probably have been cheaper to stay in Berlin or elsewhere and travel into Potsdam for a day. Not a lot happening at night and very few restaurants/pubs. We did find a great pub in the end (called Hafthorn) which we would recommend

Great location to visit both Berlin and Potsdam. Direct train connection to central Berlin (30 min) were one can see the main sites. Then in Potsdam, one has major attractions such as Sanssouci and Glienicke Bridge with further options to explore the beautiful surroundings including babelsberg and Wannssee

Some of the most important historic buildings in Potsdam...

Some of the most important historic buildings in Potsdam have lately been rebuilt, so now is the time to visit. About the size of Cambridge in the UK, the city used to be the seat of the Kings and Queens of Prussia, and is chock full of historic building and palaces and parks to the point of surfeit. It's very easy to get around with local trams, and sits on the confluence of several beautiful lakes. It is also on the Berlin suburban and regional train network, of course. A multiday Berlin Welcome Card good for Zones A, B, C will do both for Potsdam and Berlin.
