Hotel with lots of tradition, very nice welcome, nicely decorated (pre-Christmas). Rooms well kept and clean. Excellent breakfast, the Bircher Müesli is home-made and excellent, like everything else at breakfast. Very attentive staff, and the senior owner looks after everything. We also had a dinner in the Kurfürstenstube. Just perfect! Very good wine suggestions which accompanied the amazing dishes well. Here again very good service by everyone. Thank you to the whole team for a very nice pre-Christmas treat.

The hotel is located in a beautiful place among the hills and vineyards, we had our own car. It was convenient for us to get to Baden-Baden (12 minutes) and to Strasbourg (50 minutes). The staff is very friendly and welcoming, we were 200% satisfied with the service. The breakfast was great. If my family and I go to this location again, we will choose this hotel again.

Excellent 👌 We stayed here during the long weekend of the 14th July, as we live in France, and we were extremely pleased. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and you'll have amazing views of the forest from most rooms and from the pool. The pool is also great, and it was one of the things that made us choose this hotel, as we wanted to relax and enjoy the hot summer weather. The staff is 5 stars! From the reception, to the restaurant, everyone was extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. We don't speak German very well, and everyone made us feel comfortable by speaking in English with us (a special thanks to the gentleman that served us dinner both nights!). The hotel is also very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, had a lovely garden and we felt at home here. The restaurant is also amazing! Our dinner was excellent, really, with healthy, fresh and rich ingredients, but without all that nonsense new-trend cuisine. We loved it! Also, we think the hotel is a great value if you choose half-board. We think the price of the room, with everything you have access to (spa, pool, beautiful forest...), is extremely reasonable considering the quality food (and generous portions!) you get. Also, lunch/brunch is included (with salads, a lot of fresh and delicious fruit, cakes, etc), and you also have fruit and tea in a space by the pool and spa. We thought is was so generous! Overall, we were extremely pleased and we'll definitely be coming back in the future. It's German quality and German hospitality at its best! Highly, highly recommended!

We requested a dog-friendly room and were thrilled to find one that opened directly onto a patio and the pristine gardens. Our dog loved being able to step straight outside. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable for us. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to explore the hotel’s spa areas. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to enjoy. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was plenty of parking. The gardens were vibrant and well-maintained, and we enjoyed a lovely morning stroll before the unfortunate moment of leaving.

The hotel is gracious and charming yet with amazing modern facilities. The feeling of luxury and service we got,especially from the spa (all included in your tarif) areas far exceeded our expectations for the price of the hotel. After a 4 day hike we were just thrilled. The staff were especially patient and helpful. Our dinner at Ottos bar was a chesper option than the restaurant ,but just delicious and a cozy atmosphere.The hotel is set in beautiful grounds even if it is aliitle hard to get to of you haven't a car. The hotel does have a station shuttle.

The location was absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful secluded chateau about a km up the mountain with a wonderful wine bar, beautiful patio and view. An amazing place to enjoy coffee, wine, and company. The staff was kind, caring, and friendly. Breakfast was local and fresh and having my coffee on the patio made for a fantastic morning, before going out to explore the region. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The Porsche Museum is a must see!

The Porsche Museum is a must see! Visited Stuttgart during the Christmas Market. It was one of the busiest markets we went to and the streets were filled with people having a great time. The train station is under construction so there was a learning curve in navigating the temporary tunnels and levels of the station.

The experience of visiting Karsluhe during X mas time is magical. Make sure check out all X mas markets, including Children's market where the characters of fairy tales come "alive". The main town square is a huge X mas town. I would advise to see the market during daytime and evening when the lights make everything so beautiful. There were different festive areas in the city, including big skating ring, with lots of lights. Make sure check city's website about X mas markets.

Definitely recommend to take the tram for sightseeing. The tram tickets are easily obtainable at the vendor machines at almost every Haltestelle for everyone’s convenience. Hop on and hop off as you please, there is plenty to see. To me, the central city cobblestone streets with the tram passing through reminded me of Bulgarian capital city of Sofia very much. Worth a visit!

The reception at Hotel Sonata was excellent and they were most welcome and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was very good with a selection of food to suit everyone. The hotel is situated close to the town center. The route by bus is straight forward and the bus stops right outside the Sonata Hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel .

Plenty of Oriental food outlets also hairdressers and men's barbers....only one Italian restaurant to be found. Lots of Chinese restaurants couldn't find traditional German restaurants. Which was a shame.

Charming small town close to Stuttgart and a plus for wine lovers! We visited the Kessler wine cellar and Einhorn restaurant (wine cellar) which were excellent. If you are looking for a place to stay while attending the Cannstatter Volksfest or Spring festival at the Wassen then this town has excellent advantages as well. The train station is one exit removed from the Wassen station next to the festival grounds.

Not clean. Too expensive for what offers.

Not clean. Too expensive for what offers. Receptionists are kind Room not in line with offer. I stayed in Dorint Fontana and thought this would be new and better experience but it was so dirty and expensive.

The town has everything for a weekend stay.

The town has everything for a weekend stay. A good selection of shops, restaurants and coffee places. The market square has seats for relaxing and watching the world go by. The palace and gardens are a real gem. There are tours of the building and the gardens offer a chance to relax in a scented environment

Well before I just heard about Pforzheim being a jewellery...

Well before I just heard about Pforzheim being a jewellery and gold town. I did not know about its almost complete destruction in WW2 and how poorly it was rebuilt and how dreadful it still looks. I thought I have seen the worst German towns already... A fun fact, it was rebuilt to be very accessible for cars yet the modern politicians have decided to make it a 30 km/H zone. So you have big transit streets and have to drive slower than a bike. Although everything there looks also dreadfully poor (although they are not really poor unlike other places in other parts of Germany) we even saw some high society sipping some drinks near the Enz river. It is a weird place. It was worth coming here to appreciate more other places.
