Incredible stay for a weekend at this gem in the Alps. The room was absolutely lovely, super clean and tastefully decorated, with the best shower and comfortable bed that I have seen in awhile at a hotel. The breakfast spread was definitely a proper one - tons of options and is open nice and early, perfect for trekking. The location is also convenient to start hiking from on the various routes in the areas.

We really enjoyed the hotel and the city. It was perfect for us. The hotel is very pleasant, the staff is kind and helpful. The family room is spacious and very comfortably organized. There were five of us and we didn't feel crowded. The beds and linens are excellent, the air conditioning is very quiet. A spacious and pleasant shower. Varied and delicious breakfast. Das Bergmayr is the ideal spot whether you’re traveling alone, as a couple, or with the whole family. There are plenty of things to do and see in the area, and as a guest you receive a special card with free activities – just because you’re staying here. The views are stunning, the air is fresh, and the atmosphere has an authentic Bavarian spirit. The guesthouse also has a restaurant with a modest but decent selection of dishes. Breakfast is included, and it’s a very generous and tasty one – definitely a big plus. You can rent a bike for 4 or 8 hours (€15 and €30 respectively). The staff is extremely friendly and speaks both German and English. The wellness area has two saunas and a pool. The saunas are quite small (max. 4 people), and the pool is 1.6 m deep with modest dimensions, but it’s perfect for cooling off after a sauna session. Our room had a TV. If you’re wondering about the difference between Comfort and Standard rooms: Comfort rooms are larger and perfect for families. Parking costs €5 per night, and they are not responsible if you can’t find a spot on the property – though they do have quite a few spaces available. We recommend this place to everyone, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a lovely Hotel! Both times I have stayed here I have been very satisfied. I’ve gotten great rooms with view over the mountains or the lake (which is beautiful by the way). The staff is polite and helpful, and the food is amazing! Great breakfast and varied courses in the restaurant. The hotel also has a nice Biergarten just by the lake, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, or just a beer while taking in the stunning view of Schliersee.

Big hotel that never seems to be big, thanks to a brilliant layout. Excellent staff, the service level is really high. Good bed, shower, room. Great Spa and Pool area. The separate family spa is brilliant, it keeps the adult only spa quiet but is not lacking in its offering. Probably the best breakfast buffet and à la carte we have had. Dinner at the hotel was really good as well.

Perfect location in front of the Königssee. The receptionist was super kind to give us a FREE room upgrade to a very nice and newly renovated room with balcony and direct view of the Königssee. The stay was so worth it after night-shift work and the 10hr-train-travel. Love the bed and the bathroom too. Breakfast buffet.

This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to.

This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to. We love GP for a weekend getaway. We always ride the train in and get around by foot (or bus) after we're there. Go in every season...there's always something wonderful to experience.

The views and the mountains are the reason to come here,...

The views and the mountains are the reason to come here, along with hiking trails, biking ones as well. Only problem was the train schedule was changed after booking, so it took longer to get there, with less time to spend in the area. The town is not really set up for tourists, car required for efficient getting around in town.

A picturesque little village with a train station to the Zugspitze, outdoor and indoor swimming and saunas, beautiful mini-golf, lots of hiking trails, and good connections, e.g., Garmisch to Partenkirchen and the Austrian side. It is only under a 1,5 h drive from Munich.

Small town with good places to eat in a beautiful location. Guests at the hotels and apartotels may receive a free bus pass which is extremely useful for the 359 and 357 buses that travel lakeside. For the 4 nights there is a Euro 24 community charge on top of your booking.

Ruhpolding is an excellent location for walks, with beautiful scenery in every direction. There are many attractions such as chairlifts, swimming pool, crazy golf etc ,some of which are free of charge with the Visitor Card. Also, bus and local train services are free of charge. We have been to Ruhpolding 15 times and and have enjoyed every holiday even when the weather has not been very favourable.

Inzell is beautiful, lovely views, restaurants, cafes and activities to do. The chiemgau karte is the reason we can back. We hired bikes, played crazy golf, painted pottery, adventure golf, tyre sliding, indoor & outdoor pools, chair lifts, the buses, trains etc all on the card for free. We were then able to buy drinks/ snacks/ dinners at all the venues. It was fantastic. Ban Thai restaurant, Kreinburg, salvatone, vroni & lindl brauer restaurants were all very tasty. More buses on a Sunday would be better.

A beautiful little town in the mountains.

A beautiful little town in the mountains. There are sooo many choices of where to eat. Walking around oldtown is a treat with the paintings on the buildings, views of the mountains and decisions of where to eat. Oldtown is completely walkable.

Tegernsee is simply beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

Tegernsee is simply beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The lake is stunning an the boat trip around the lake is well worth doing. Shops and cafes in the village are good with good quality goods and food.
