Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in! All fixtures and fittings were brand new and of optimum quality. Spacious room superbly decorated with Frida Kahlo artwork. Check-in should be easy on the machine at the entrance, but I had a problem as the booking details were wrong. Someone from the cafe came to help me out. The cafe is very plush and breakfast there was excellent.

1. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms was forgotten in the booking process, but they gave us what was available, which was a huge suite with an amazing window and private entrance. 2. I left my wallet in the safe, and they found it, I came back to get it and they gave us the wallet in a sealed bag, you can tell their handling of items is very secure. 3. Breakfast was huge and they make the finest and thinnest omelettes that I didn't know were possible. 4. Shuttle bus right in front of hotel, so unbelievably convenient. 5. Family loved it and kept saying this was the best place out of our entire Germany roadtrip.

The location of the hotel was absolutely amazing. It is the most delicate and impressive atmosphere that I have ever stayed in Germany. Inside of the nature, with the voices of the birds, fresh air combines with an elagant hotel that provides you all elegant facilities as well as nobility. The rooms were very detailed cleaned, great bathroom amenities that makes you feel relax and private with great smells, a very rare and private smoking room, many different choices of breakfast with high roof height, historical building newly designed. The breakfast was nice, but pretty basic. The bread was warm, very cool! On the first day we could not have breakfast, as we came at 10.15 and the lady in the cafeteria shoulted at us, that everything was already closed and she needs to clean (in all brochures it states that breakfast is open until 10.30 and the reception said we should juat get in by 10.30 and then we can stay longer; the lady also shouted that she has no idea where we can eat (there was a fish cafe around the corner open)

Breakfast was such a good german experience. All the things you could imagine in a german breakfast were present. It was delicious. The room was beautiful and an excellent suite. The view of the old town was right there out the window and it was very easy to wander into the christmas markets and the heart of Bremen. The room service was also dreamy.

It was a real surprise.

It was a real surprise. We went to the Flea market along the river and the bridges and the old and the new architecture were a real revelation. Everyone thinks Hannover is boring but we had the best time visiting the palace and the garden with the amazing Grotto by Niki de St Phalle, Went to a great little wine bar, Next Generations Wine, had a beautiful mezze dinner at Al Dar and then Karaoke at Downtown. We had a fab time.

Winterberg exceeded expectations.

Winterberg exceeded expectations. One believes that you would need to go to Switzerland or Austria to have a great ski holiday, but the truth is a short 4 hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands you are in a place where as a beginner skier you have everything you might want! There might be more challenging slopes, but I did not attempt those this time around, I will surely be back again to see more..

Nothing much here compared to other towns. Didn’t understand the Grimm Brothers museum and what it was trying to achieve. The Bergpark was good. Great for nature lovers. Three night maximum stay is sufficient.

We love the hotel and the spa area.

We love the hotel and the spa area. Breakfast is excellent and bar menu good. We do not give the full excellent rating because we would have expected from a four star hotel a complimentary water kettle with tea and coffee as well was a water bottle. This is even provided by the lower rated chain holiday inn express. For the amount of 160 Euro per night versus 120 Euro this should be changed and added to all rooms for extra service and benefit to the guests.

Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate.

Gottingen is a lovely town and very easy to negotiate. We drove from Frankfurt and there was plenty of parking everywhere including near the university and city centre. There are a diverse range of restaurants and shops in the city. Plenty of places to sit out and have drinks, ice cream of coffee and people watch.

Don’t expect a regular hotel, this is a ground floor 2 bed apartment which we were unaware of when we booked….however it ticked all our boxes for an overnight stay. No complaints here. Overall a good apartment with extras.

It is more touristic than I thought, a bit overcrowded for my taste. One reason to not take the cable car up the mountain. If you like crowds and lots of restaurants you're at the right place. We had a good meal in Willingen. We went to the hang bridge (Sky walk) nearby, we visited the Dimeltalsperre and we went shopping in Winterberg.

We lived in Paderborn for four years so re-visited our old haunts. The cathedral is beautiful. The Christmas market was ok but not as good as Hameln. Great location to branch out to other towns and places of interest in Germany.

The small town of Bad Salzuflen offers a lot.

The small town of Bad Salzuflen offers a lot. Beautiful old houses and a nice city center invite to stay. Also, there are plenty of good restaurants. We have used our stay in Bad Salzuflen to visit and hike in the Teutoburger Wald, which has many sightseeing opportunities.
