Wonderful place for a weekend getaway! The apartment was very cozy, tastefully equipped with everything you might need, it was spotlessly clean, in the middle of nature but close enough to a good restaurant. We've visited the private spa and it was heaven. Both sauna and whirlpool were amazing and so relaxing! And then the breakfast... Eggs made just for you, bacon, pies, fresh bread, wide selection of fruits and vegetables... Just amazing. A big thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff, especially the lady making breakfast in the morning.

Had one night stay here, but I loved this place. The receptionist speaks fluent english, room was very clean and tidy, did not hear any noise from outside of the room. Breakfast was amazing, very large selection. Very good bar downstairs.

Super enjoyed our stay at Pihel apartments. The beds are very comfortable, and overall the house is very well equipped. Around the house you're surrounded by a green scenario, and you can hear the cows far away. Definitely recommend this place and hope to come back one day.

This place is a gem!! Location, interior, the love to the detail, and the warm hospitality are much more than we could have hoped for. The food is great, mostly local/ part organic and low waste where possible (no plastic at the beautiful and tasty breakfast menu) Highly recommended!!!

Novy Bor is a nice enough small town, but a day is more than enough to see everything as a tourist. It has some places to eat out and a small Tesco in the centre (bigger supermarkets near Crystalex) It is a base for doing walking/cycling, going to nearby places like Sloup v Čechách, Česká Lípa etc.

The center of Chribska includes a bakery, electric vehicle charging stations. Tourists come here mainly for hiking and seeing a natural landmark Panska Skala. The air quality is pretty bad during winter time (oct-apr) due to every other house using coal for heating.

Very nice village in the Czech mountains close to the German...

Very nice village in the Czech mountains close to the German (former DDR) border. Little fast running river flows through the village, makes the village wonderful and magical. Village has everything you need, shops, supermarkets, gasstation, busstation, even with a direct bus daily to Schmilka at the (east-)German border, trainstation with direct trains to Rumburk (for connection to Bad Schandau, Germany) and Decin. There is a swimming pool, tourist information, many restaurants, 'vecerka' evening shop, walking area.

You will feel like most houses are empty if you come during...

You will feel like most houses are empty if you come during the week. Which might feel as a relieve if you come wiht a dog that is not used to the house and barks. But then you visit a local hospoda and you realize that a lot of German peope come for dinner, they all greet the people in Czech. overall Krompach make you miss their beautiful architecture as you are returning to home. There are some spectacular sunrises and sunset moments.

I started coming here almost 30 years ago because it was my grandfather’s home town. If you like to learn about and watch glassblowing, this is the place. If you like relaxed hiking without having to pack a lunch, this is the area — through the woods from village to village. It’s only 60 miles from Prague, but a different world, calm and uncrowded. Outside of hotel staff, don’t expect much English, but you’ll get by…

Ceska Kamienice is a place to start off some of the hikes in Saxion Switzerland park and mountains. You can take 2 days to hike trails directly from the town. The other interesting starting points for the hikes like Jetrichovice are within ca. 15km by car. Ceska Kamienice town has nice and less nice corners - new and good looking and messy ones too. It is a rather peaceful sleepy place. We have not explored a lot of places to dine out; on the first glance, there are not too many and if there are it is rather local, so don't forget to take cash in Czech currency with you (cards are not everywhere accepted).

Really surprised by the local restaurants! The Asian restaurant was a delightful surprise and then a fantastic surprise brunch in the square -totally did not expect that from a small place like Novy Bor!
