This hotel really exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a room with a hot tub, which was really nice as we were there for a ski weekend, and it was very much needed after a day on the hills! The room was quite large, and had everything you could possibly want in a hotel stay. From a comfy bed, to bath robes, mugs for coffee and tea, multiple drinking glasses, wine opener...it was very convenient! Though we didn't really make use of it, the TV has hundreds of channels to choose from as well. The location itself is walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in Liberec, as well as multiple grocery stores and a mall across the street. There is an indoor parking lot you can pay extra for as well. As it is built on the top two floors of an office building, it is quiet on weekends which was also nice. It is also quite convenient if you are in Liberec for skiing, as it is only a 10-15 minute drive away from the city. Our favourite aspect of the hotel was the included breakfast. For a hotel breakfast it had a good variety of options, including a station you could make your own waffles. And despite being from a machine, the coffee was actually very good. It is also convenient that they start breakfast at 7am on weekends (I believe it may even be earlier on week days), so we were always able to get a meal in before heading to the ski hill each day. Overall a fantastic stay!

Poor value, poor service.

Poor value, poor service. (1) The listing included washing machines (this was an important factor for me). When I checked in, I was told that they were out of service. The next morning, I saw they were in service. I emailed to ask about use (the reception desk was not open, despite the claimed hours on the door) and never heard back. (2) My mini-fridge was not working. I emailed them; never heard back - but I know from a later conversation (once I actually found someone in reception) that they did receive it. (3) Reception desk hours are posted as 7:00 to 22:00. It is almost always empty, doors locked, no lights on. The premises are nice enough, fairly new looking and clean. But for the amount they charge and the remote location from the city center, even without the poor service described above I strongly suggest people look elsewhere.

Jablonec is a small town in North Bohemia some 100 kms north...

Jablonec is a small town in North Bohemia some 100 kms north of Prague. It sits in a picturesque region and visitors can be sure of good opportunities for outdoor pursuits. In the region there are really interesting attractions and travel is helped by a very good bus service. The town itself has a few decent restaurants but shopping is quite limited.

It's a fantastic place for anyone interested in hiking and /or relaxing near beautiful forests and nature, as well as interesting castles and sights that aren't too far away. Don't expect much in the way of infrastructure, there are a couple of restaurants and a shop , it's very popular with young families with children. Really liked this place for its simplicity and cool climate during a heatwave.

Nice location with lot of options for Families with kids, paved paths in the mountains making it easy even for strollers or disabled people to access many of the remote places, many option to eat. Very close to Prague.

Overall really nice place to stay with your family or loved ones there are real nice tracks to hike and the views if you go up on the mountains around are incredible. the hotel itself feels really nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Liberec is a pleasant Czech town with some nice architecture...

Liberec is a pleasant Czech town with some nice architecture in the center, views to hills in the distance, and some rather nice spots for craft beer. The zoo and the technical museum (with lots of transport vehicles) are nice places to spend time. The restaurant in the cellar of the city hall is both architecturally nice and offers really nice meals (the garlic soup is excellent), Barvirna has a great craft beer selection and nice burgers, and the Azyl beer bar is a bit rougher around the edges but with a solid beer selection too.

As a town that was once the centre of glass bead and...

As a town that was once the centre of glass bead and jewellery making, Jablonec has so much history. The architecture is beautiful with great examples of Jugendstil and Art Deco buildings. The Museum of Glass and Jewellery is well worth a visit. The town is friendly and the local restaurants are good. The reservoir offers a nice place to walk not too far from the city and the surrounding forests are wonderful for hiking. Jablonec is a good base to have while exploring the surrounding area.

Liberec is a quite nice location for a weekend getaway.

Liberec is a quite nice location for a weekend getaway. You can arrive on Saturday and spend the day hiking to the Jested tower where you can have a nice late lunch/early dinner and then go back to the city. The other day is enough to check out the Museum of Fine Arts (Lázné, originally a spa from the 19th century), the The North Bohemian Museum (Muza) and the Zoo or the Botanical Garden.
