More than a genuine, more than the kind, more than the ever. They are the liveliest & loveliest team to make the travellers believe ‘’ yes can’’.
Such gentlemen boss and welcoming kind receptionists.My heartiest wishes to each and every person (Team KEMP Decin) who make this did. My special thanks to the Boss “SVAN” who helped during the late evening of unexpected power cut in the Caravan.
Such a fantastic place in Decin to stay which I would highly & gladly recommend. They maintain the common space area as neat as possible. I also wonder that all the visitors are also cooperating to do so. And the operation of KEMP Decin is very smart no need to bother anybody for the access.
Since I am a foreigner and fortunately I have planned to extend my stay one more night. They have arranged the best what they can. Once again my heartiest wishes to the team. Keep it up :)

The swimming pool is really nice. The location is great for walks in the hills and forests. The little town has what you need and is nice and quiet. Within 15 minutes car drive there are lots of natural beauty spots and viewpoints. The owners are a really nice couple who live on the ground floor of the house. The upper two floors consist of two flats. We like the one at the top, which has fantastic views from the balcony. If you have young children, then the loft playroom is absolutely wonderful, as is the garden with trampoline, hammock and swings.

Nice and quiet countryside location. Penzion Klaster is an Historical building. Very friendly staff, check inn went easy. It's also possible to pay cash in euro.
Private parking behind the building.
Breakfast is really taken care of and very very good. In other words, never skip breakfast.
Room is tidy and clean, good shower, bathroom.
I was travelling so stayed only 1 night but noticed many people staying for hiking and walking.
Good place to relax and enjoy.

Loved our stay here. The staff were really helpful and nice despite speaking very little English. We travel to immerse ourselves in another country so this was perfect. Fairly basic and very reasonably priced. We were hiking all day so just needed food and a bed. Close to lots of hikes, good food and great beer. We would definitely stay again.

The city itself is not exceptional but offers a good base for people who want to visit the surrounding area (Bohemian Switzerland in Czech Republic, Saxon Switzerland in Germany). Less crowded and more affordable than e.g. Bad Schandau on the other side of the border.

Very nice village in the Czech mountains close to the German (former DDR) border. Little fast running river flows through the village, makes the village wonderful and magical. Village has everything you need, shops, supermarkets, gasstation, busstation, even with a direct bus daily to Schmilka at the (east-)German border, trainstation with direct trains to Rumburk (for connection to Bad Schandau, Germany) and Decin. There is a swimming pool, tourist information, many restaurants, 'vecerka' evening shop, walking area.

Hospitality was fine but some things were really amateuristic or even unprofessional, like very bad English and / or German speaking staff.
The restaurant is an absolute no go.
A home made version of mint tea seems to be a tea bag in hot water and home made fries come from the freezer.
Very old fashioned, very limited choices, absolutely nothing available without meat.

Ceska Kamienice is a place to start off some of the hikes in Saxion Switzerland park and mountains. You can take 2 days to hike trails directly from the town. The other interesting starting points for the hikes like Jetrichovice are within ca. 15km by car.
Ceska Kamienice town has nice and less nice corners - new and good looking and messy ones too. It is a rather peaceful sleepy place. We have not explored a lot of places to dine out; on the first glance, there are not too many and if there are it is rather local, so don't forget to take cash in Czech currency with you (cards are not everywhere accepted).

Restaurant Ve dvore in Decin, duck was very nice, didn't care much for the bread dumplings
Restaurant Bamboo in Hrensko, pleasant.
Hotel restaurant Vypres, very nice.
Getting around in Decin is easy. However, the public transport schedules have changes in certain periods in the year, so read bus schedules carefully, or you might find out a certain bus doesn't ride anymore at a certain time after (f.e. 3 september) a certain date.
Tip for hikers: Google maps isn't very precise with the yellow trail's starting point: to avoid wandering, ask Tourist information the precise starting point!
