This was the best accommodation we had in Cabo Verde (between S. Vicente and Sto. Antão). We stayed here first one night and on the return from Santo Antão we stayed 2 more nights. The staff is really great and friendly. The hotel has just a good size: 11 rooms. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, hot water worked well as well as wi-fi. TV is more complicated but the staff will explain to you. There are two terraces, one at the reception level and one on the rooftop (where's also a hot tub - jacuzzi). Breakfasts were excellent, with eggs cooked on demand, good fruits and cereals, great coffee, cakes, etc. (and the staff here again so friendly). I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy some privacy, with few guests and to be just in the city centre. We were so happy coming back here after staying 8 nights in Santo Antão.

Every single thing! No need for you to look any further - just book this place! A BIG highlight to their AMAZING staff! I travel quite a bit and I can tell you, it is rare to find such an amazing team of competent, empathetic and kind group of people. Our flight was cancelled (which almost ruined our entire trip) and they went above and beyond to help us. Of course, the hotel in itself is great, constant hot water, very comfy and big bed and a hearty breakfast to kick off your day.

This was the best hotel we have been in at Cape Verde where both rooms, staff and service was great. We felt welcome and good taken care of by the kind receptionist Decio. We definitely recommend this Eco hotel to anyone else visiting San Vivence

I only stayed at Casa Cafe Mindelo for one night, but it was the perfect place to stay. Super central. Only 15 minutes drive to the airport, og 10 minutes walk to the ferry over to Santo Antao. Everything in town is within (a short) walking distance, and the Praia da Laginha beach is about 15 minutes walk away. My room and bathroom wasnt too big, but big enough. There was a small fridge in the room as well. I ate breakfast and dinner at Cafe Mindelo and the food was great. They have live music in the evenings between 8 and 10 PM. I went up a little before 10 PM but couldnt really hear much noise in my room. Friendly staff, and all in all a great place to stay on a visit to Mindelo!

I am very happy to have returned to this excellent Mindelo hotel. Great staff, nice room with a nice balcony, nice breakfast.

Residencial Casa da Luz is set on the beachfront in Mindelo, 1.4 km from Praia Da Laginha and 200 metres from Torre de Belem.
