The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Also it had plenty of space so you didn’t feel cramped in space. The bed was very comfortable. The location is awesome, just a 5 minutes walk away from the main road, where plenty of restaurants and coffees can be found. The hotel is in front of the beach, where you can see beautiful sunrises (if the weather allows :)) What we have enjoyed a lot is the terrace next to the room. We spent hours sitting there listening to the waves of the sea and bird sounds. We have been able to see many kind of different types of birds, like toucans, parrots and humming birds. Besides the location, the owners Carmen and Angelo, are very helpful, lovely and kind persons. Always good communication and they made everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We have also booked different trips with Angelo aka Eagle-Eye (motorized boat trip for animal watching along the canals, canoe tour through the canals of the national park and a day walk through the natural park). He is an amazing animal spotter and has also a lot of knowledge about animals and nature.

Great hotel right on the Caribbean shore! The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful, as they immediately offered a room change when we got a small problem with the air-conditioning. Overall a great experience.

The air conditioning was excellent and the shower was great. Our room was cleaned very well and there were plenty of towels. We were very happy whilst staying on the island.

Close proximity to everything. Clean, comfortable, and friendly. We took the night to through Tuanis with Bernie and I highly recommend it. We say everything and more. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff are so happy and helpful. They could not do enough for us to ensure we had an amazing experience. The food was excellent and very good value. The rooms are clean, modern, spacious and well maintained.

This accommodation is perfect, clean. The owner is very warmth and welcoming. The place was better than our expectation. The beach is less than 5 minutes walking. The bad point is that you need to pay an extra for the air-conditioning. It was like 15 euros for one or two nights. Except that, every is very good !

The pretty Pachira Lodge is located 5 minutes’ boat trip from the entrance to the lush Tortuguero National Park.

Tico breakfast with variations, very good. Position of the rooms spread throughout the lush gardens. Houler monkeys on top of our bungalow. Splendid pool area. Fantastic!
