Passion Fruit Lodge is a tranquil oasis removed from the bustle of the surrounding beach towns. We loved the beautiful landscaping, abundant fruit trees and flowers at every turn down the garden paths. The pool was relaxing and beautiful and there are many hammocks and quiet spots to relax. We did not use the bar area but had a delicious breakfast by our hosts, Bert and Delphine. Rooms felt like we were staying in a tree house. Beds were comfortable and kitchen facilities were basic but just right. Lovely to wake to the sounds of birds and monkeys. We did not want to leave!

We stayed at Oasi apartments as part of our honeymoon and it was a dream. The villa we stayed in was of the highest standard, high spec finishes and very spacious. The breakfast was the best we had on our whole 3 week trip, and it was made extra special by being served on our own private terrace each morning. The apartments are situated in the perfect location for exploring the wonderful town of Cahuita and the national park where you can see an amazing array of Costa to an wildlife - we saw sloths, monkeys, snakes, and more. Would highly recommend staying here.

The perfect place to stay in Cahuita. Anett already provided lots of valuable support during the planning stage of our trip and made organizing easy for us. It was a pleasure to stay in her well-equipped garden apartment, where she was highly attentive to her guests' needs and always ready to help. A big thank you to Anett and her husband for their hospitality and for making our stay in Cahuita so enjoyable (including listening to distant howler monkey sounds in the early morning)! We would return any time. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful spot! Sadly we were only there for one night, passing through, but it was really lovely. Big room, comfy beds with mosquito nets, good shower. You really feel like you're in the jungle. I saw two toucans in the morning, which was a definite bucket list animal for me. Really near the playa negra which is a beautiful beach. It's a little walk from the town - but we were transferred each way. Would definitely return!!

The host was amazing . . . she is a lovely person and addressed the needs of guests in a willing and friendly manner.

I would give this guesthouse 7 stars if that were possible. The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The grounds are a tropical paradise full of birds, butterflies & other wildlife.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful garden and pool area, great breakfast, kind staff situated just a little bit off the center of Cahuita. I didn’t have the chance to have a dinner at their restaurant but the cocktail was delicious. Would return again.

High quality rooms! Small hotel run by the same people as the great Italian restaurant. You have your own terrace overlooking the pool, garden and the sea. We saw lots of birds and butterflies in the garden and racoons. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Swimming pool and garden. Very friendly staff. Room spacious and nice. Bed comfi. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night! Walk is an option…max 30 min to center. Or 3000 taxi. Snorkeling tour an walk in Cuahita was nice!

This town was more quiet and while there were tourists it didn't feel over run with them. We were there at the end of the rainy season. Wish surfed. The hike in the park was well worth it, to blend town and nature. There is nothing fancy about the town but has a great vibe.

Costa Rica, for those who prefer nature as a concept not to be endured too long, and with minimal discomfort.
I can't speak to other parts of the country but the Caribbean coast is not a place for real travelers. Go to Honduras or Guatemala instead.
