This hotel is a fabulous 8.9 on Booking.com, because it is FABULOUS! A great location! You fly into HK international, you switch to the Ferry (at airport) which takes you to Shekou Port in 30 minutes, then you get on to line 2 metro directly to the hotel (Jingtian), or line 12 and switch to line 9 on same platform. The exit at JINGTIAN is EXIT B, which takes you up an escalator INTO the building lobby where the hotel is located. Take elevator to 28th floor to check in. SIMPLE! When checking out (apart from leaving your luggage with the concierge for late night flights), you take metro back to Shekou port, check-in at your airline counter, they take your luggage, you board the ferry, 30 minutes to HK International, you go catch your flight, and your luggage is transferred directly to the plane, and meets you at your destination. SIMPLE! The staff are most helpful. If they do not speak English (lingua franca), they will communicate with a translator APP. The managers have English skills. Any correspondence or delivery arrives safely to the concierge. The room is made up daily. Fresh towels, toiletries, and complimentary water/soda, daily. The hotel has beautiful calming decor. There is even a little R2D2 robot that moves around making deliveries. To be noted, you might have a neighbouring suite with kids, who won't go to bed on time, ...that is to be expected. As for food, like breakfast, before the restaurant opens when you have jet lag, waking up around 4 or 5am, there's a 24-hour McDonald's across the street, ...in time to catch the 14-minute train journey or 45-minute subway ride, between 6 and 7am at their respective locations in Shenzhen, for HONG KONG! Again, a wonderful 8-day stay, with a park nearby. The metro station is situated perfectly to reach anywhere in Shenzhen swiftly. THANKS-A-MILLION!

I booked this hotel for my husband when it was definite that he will not make it in time for his connecting flight out of Shenzhen. Unfortunately the delay of his incoming flight stretched to 9hrs at least so he arrived at the hotel at 6am on checkout day. He said the staff was kind enough to let them know that they can extend their stay beyond the 12noon checkout. Excellent customer service from the hotel's check-in staff for a very weary traveller. Rooms were very spacious and clean.

This is one of the best hotel I stayed. Door step to Shenzhen bay and multiple parks. Staff are so friendly. Whenever I rang the reception, they say “您好！让您久等了 （Good morning/afternoon/evening Madam! Sorry to keep you waiting)” Simple opening made me feel that they respected my feelings & time. The cleaning staff (黄定玉） was very thorough and effectively cleaned my room everyday.

I like Gankeng old town and dafen painting village, dongmen pedestrian street. The malls are big and modern, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops selling all kinds of stuff. The public transport, taxis or trains, is efficient. I learnt after returning home that commuters above 60 years old even foreigners can take the tube/underground train for free.

Shenzhen is a modern and welcoming city with incredibly friendly and helpful people. Despite the language barrier, many locals used their phones to translate and went out of their way to help us navigate and find our way. The city features large open spaces, impressive modern architecture, and enormous shopping malls—almost too big for my taste! The food was milder and more Western-style than expected, rather than traditional strong Chinese flavors. Transportation was excellent and very affordable, with most trips costing around 2 yuan and our longest ride only 6 yuan. The weather was perfect for the season, and we always felt safe and relaxed while walking around the city, unlike some other major cities around the world. Overall, Shenzhen is friendly, safe, efficient, and extremely modern.

The price is very reasonable, so don't expect a luxury...

The price is very reasonable, so don't expect a luxury experience. Location is excellent, you can walk to subway and railway stations, thus, go anywhere with ease. Staffs were helpful and friendly, entire property was kept reasonably clean. The room is on the small side, and you may have to struggle with your luggage a bit. Overall, we were happy with the value received.
