Amazing local hotel / homestay for a quick retreat. Location: slightly out of central town in Yangshou (5min drive). Personally this is exactly what we wanted, a mini retreat to relax. Several restaurants including a restaurant built into a cave right nearby. Rooms: we stayed in a mountain view king room which was awesome, 'instragrammable', spacious with big bathtub, adjustable AC, and projector tv. It was very clean and modern with top to bottom glass windows so you wake to a beautiful view of mountains. Staff: This isn't a chain or resort, so the service is more personable. You'll become acquainted with them in no time. Promptly responded to WeChat messages. Very friendly and extremely accommodating. We had a issue when we first checked in with some construction noise - which the staff immediately addressed and this was greatly appreciated. Food: 'Western' style restaurant serving comfort food which was good and honestly a nice pace chance having travelled china for several weeks now. Cafe: perhaps one of the highlights is the treehouse cafe on level 5 - which has stunning views and great coffee. Value: room was on the expensive side compared to other places we stayed in China, albiet we booked the most expensive room type. We definitely got what we paid for. Other: the pool was out of service during most of our stay but personally this isn't something we'd use anyway. they also assisted us to use the laundry which was great as laundries seem hard to find in mainland China. Throughout our time here, we only had to leave the hotel once really, to go watch the Impressions show. Everything else was well catered to by the hotel or it's near surroundings. Would strongly recommend staying here during your visit to Yangshou, especially if you're looking for a place to get some rest and recovery.

Hotel is located in a quiet and scenic area on the outskirts of Guilin, the city is reachable very fast via taxi (/didi). Hotel is simple but very clean, bathrooms are modern and western standard, the beds are comfortable, air con works perfectly. The extremely friendly staff (family run) made our stay enjoyable; the owner speaks very good English and supports guests with a large variety of services - among those, booking of tickets for shows, guides & private tours, airport transfers, etc. On the property itself is a restaurant that offers delicious home cooked Chinese dishes and drinks. We booked two privat full day tours with a proficient guide and driver via the hotel - both were great and the price very fair. I can totally recommend this hotel.

Staff there is really helpful, the Chinese style breakfast is good. Location is around 15 mins away from the centre but Didi is really easy to get there. Definitely a place i will stay again in the future if i ever come back

The staff service and willingness to attend every issue to ensure we had a relxing and easy stay was second to none. Their assistance to make arrangements were excellent bar the restaurant next door which was a proper tourist trap and made us put our guard up for the remaining of the trip but no fault of theirs, I just would recommend avoiding that particular restaurant.

Our favourite hotel on our 3 week trip. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, helpful staff will also book day trips and massages. I was upgraded to a room with a bath which I loved - thank you :-) Easy drop off in to or from town, but you can also walk in around 20 minutes.
