My family and I had a great stay at this hotel in Guangzhou! The location is perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Our rooms were very clean, quiet, and super comfortable. Everything felt fresh and well taken care of. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! During my stay at a Marriott Zhuhai, I had the pleasure of experiencing a truly remarkable and enjoyable time. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. One of the highlights of my stay was the impeccable service provided by the hotel staff, in particular Miss Alina YU. Alina helped my check-in process which was seamless and efficient, allowing me to quickly settle into my room and begin my relaxing stay. She also provided detailed information about room features, hotel facilities, dining options, and local attractions. Afterwards she also made herself available for answering various queries. Whilst there were issues arisen during my stay, Alina is proactive in finding solutions. Whether it's a problem with the room, a request for extra amenities, or assistance with travel arrangements, she took immediate action to address the issue and ensure my satisfaction. The Dong Fang was the most amazing hotel of my 12 day trip in China. I visited for 3 different hotels. We arrived at about 3am but.got a very warm welcome with pleasant staff. Rooms are spacious with spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is so well served. A huge variety of different options. Pool is amazing, even though we never used it. The manager on Duty, Kevin, really treated us so well and was so accommodating. He was really a gentlemen in how he ensured our comfort. The foyer is so grand and welcoming. You don't want to leave. I've been travelling to Guangzhou for many years. I've now decided that I'll only stay at the Dong Fang in future. Hassan

It's a really up class hotel, spotless clean and beautiful. The staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were big, comfortable and very clean. We also enjoyed the dinner buffet though very expensive and also the dim sum breakfast. Love the sand worms dim sums.

I have really enjoyed my time in this mega city.

I have really enjoyed my time in this mega city. Much of my enjoyment was due to my walking extensively looking for traces of Old China. In my short time here I could only just scrape the surface.  Going behind the glitzy facades along the main roads,  I found a hidden urban landscape of labyrinthine lanes which could easily be passed by the casual visitor and those who use the metro or taxis.  The lovely parks and Six Bayan Tree Pagoda were the best. Canton Tower only for those who like concrete and glass

I like Gankeng old town and dafen painting village, dongmen pedestrian street. The malls are big and modern, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops selling all kinds of stuff. The public transport, taxis or trains, is efficient. I learnt after returning home that commuters above 60 years old even foreigners can take the tube/underground train for free.

Foshan is a busy town but feels more relaxed compared to Guangzhou. There are markets, local stalls, two malls, and plenty of places to grab bubble teas and fresh juices, including small family-run stands. Lots of local restaurants serve Chinese and Canton-style food. McDonald’s, KFC, Domino’s, Starbucks, supermarkets, and several 7-Elevens are all just a few minutes away on foot. The train station is about a solid 20-minute walk Go here for the BEST Peking duck I’ve ever tasted Hu Shuai's home · fruit wood charcoal roasted duck (Jinke Building Store) No.29, Qingfeng West Road, Nanhai District, Qiandeng Lake C+ (opposite to Poly Tian Yue)

Great place for families, couples or singles.

Great place for families, couples or singles. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom - air con in the room makes a much enjoyable stay. If you are a coffee drinker go to 2 floor and ask for an Italian or Brazilian coffee. You will love it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoy the swimming pool on the 5th floor. A room with a view that you can see Macau and the bridge that links Hong Kong to Zhuhai. Great choices for a variety of restaurants including continental breakfast and dinner. Zhuhai offers a lot to everyone. If you have kids do not miss the opportunity to go to Ocean Park, the bus ride will take approximately an hour from the city centre and it will cost less than 15 pence. The weather is simply gorgeous - it can get very hot in the Summer but because it a semi tropical city the weather is great throughout the year. Great choices for massages, including foot massage, body massage, acupuncture, cupping, Traditional Chinese Medicine, costing a quarter of price anywhere in the world. Also, a hospital can provide with stem cells treatment and other alternative therapy for good value for money. The restaurants were clean and food was just simply delicious and not expensive at all. Public transport cost less than 15 pence and most if not all buses have air con, making a very enjoyable journey. Ocean Park was the highlight for our kids - we can really spend the entire day there and you feel like it is not enough. We have been there twice and we would visit it again on our next trip to Zhuhai. I strongly recommend a visit to Zhuhai and place that you will certainly want to return to.

Highly recommend only staying in this region especially if you are shopping for building materials and furniture. Many places will send Didi cars to pick you up. Canton Fair is only 1 hr away depending on traffic. Guangzhou is only 45 mins away depending on traffic and what time you leave.

Dongguan is not a destination city.

Dongguan is not a destination city. It does not have the things to do that Shenzhen and Guangzhou have. But if you are there on business or visiting friends, there are some things to do. The mall off of the Hongfu subway stop is nice. Qifeng park is huge and beautiful. Grateful Q is a great restaurant with amazing ribs. I lived here for 8 years, and I always come back to visit every other month.

A food and shopping lover place. For scenery, Baiyun mountain is great; if you purchase the cable car / tram tickets, walking is minimal up the mountain and there are even escalators near the summit.

I love the hotel accessibility and location so close to everything you basically need. I didn't like most is a lot of App is banned in China for using some of which are social media apps you use for calling and communicating back to your hometown country.
