I couldn’t handle the heat (I’m from colder places), the receptionist was so kind to give me ice cold water and made sure that I’m comfortable. He even prepared the room to get the temperature colder. The room was clean, staff were so sweet and I liked the place.

The location of the hotel was right next to the road, so I was worried about car noise, but the soundproof system was really perfect, so I could relax all day long. There is no front desk, but communication is easy and fast by phone and email and all necessary explanations are written in the room. It is good to stay with dog (20 franc per night) because the riverside is close by.

The owner of the hotel was lovely and the hotel itself was very clean, cozy and the location couldn't be better situated. I chose the economy room with the shared bathroom (as described on the website) and was very pleased with my choice. The toilet and shower that where shared were very clean and I never even met another guest using the shower - so no wait time at all. The room is equipped with a sink, a hairdryer, a bathrobe, a microwave, a small fridge, a ventilator for hot summer nights and an adapter for those who forgot that Switzerland has different power outlets than e.g. austria (I'm speaking of myself.. I forgot that 😅). There is a busstation right in front of the hotel and it's only a short walk by foot to the lake. All in all it was a great stay and I'm looking forward to visiting the Aparthotel from family Hugenschmidt again 😊

Im impressed. Till till this time it's my favorite hotel. I would to come back again. This hotel has a wonderful spa where you can find everything you need or you want even a solarium. Hot pool outside, everything you like. Service cleaning two times a day. İn the evening cleaning they left you some chocolate. İt so sweet. Location is perfect.. The Bahnhofstrasse and the center is about 3km. The hotel has His own Station is Dolder Station. So you can go to the city by train or shuttle. The meal is so gurme and tasty. Thank you for everything 🌸.

The breakfast was great and the gentleman who organized it was welcoming and attentive. Hotel location is amazing: I arrived at the Zurich train station (in cold, rainy weather) and it was just a quick 5-minute, easy to walk to the hotel (they offered umbrellas for guests to use, too).

I used to work in Zurich and have many friends there.

I used to work in Zurich and have many friends there. It caters to the super rich and the reasonably wealthy can get by. The food is great and there are a few historical places of great interest. The transport system is amazing. The surrounding hills are easily reached with great views.

Kloten is just a dormitory town for the airport.

Kloten is just a dormitory town for the airport. Not much there just some restaurants and supermarkets. I was there because it was near the airport. There are rail links to Zurich which can be reached in less than 30mins so easy to visit.

I do not normally give a bad review of a property but this Hotel has some issues that need addressed. Lots of construction around the Movenpick Hotel. Very noisy. They did provide pickup and drop-off at the airports. The food was not very good and either restaurant. There was food debris all over the floor of both restaurants. We were at this hotel for two nights and the floors in the eating areas were never swept. Their was a bad odor in the check in area every day...like sewer..? Both of us had the hamburger from the bar service and both of the sandwiches were undercooked. Both sandwiches had a bad flavor of maybe poor quality beef.. The lighting the our room was poor as several lamps had very very low wattage going to them so it was hard to see.

We were not there long enough for a fair evaluation. Check-in in the middle of the night should never take so long, particularly when your stay has been both pre-booked and pre-paid. We were exhausted and short on time with no one at fault. We arrived safely and needed rest, not standing in line to get a room after more than ten hours of continuous travel. The room was clean. We were unable to actually check out the surrounding area to see what besides hotels may be available to enjoy or explore. Another time, perhaps.

Museums, old town, C&A shop reasonable for students, friendliness of people, excellent service and everyone spoke English and courteous to us. People went way and beyond to help us - 1 patifnrt took us to train station to help facilitate student train pass.

My wife and I would have loved to enjoy Zurich but we only used the airport for arrival and departure. We rented a car to enjoy Switzerland and I can tell you that the roads were nice and well documented. We also found the airport to be efficient and the staff very friendly.

Very convenient to visit Zurich (10 mins to the main station by train and trains and 15 mins to Zurich airport by bus/tram). All public means of transport are on-time, reliable, and very often. Shops, restaurants, bakeries - all within a walking distance.

From outside the Hotel looks a bit run down. But from inside it is just like a 5 star hotel. Neat and clean with a very helpful and friendly staff. Easy to locate it and many nice restaurants at a walking distance .Free Parking is a bonus. It is not airconditioned but offers fan which is of great help

A small quiet village with all the facilities (supermarkets, banks, places to eat) though actually all that I did in the village itself was sleep, shop and eat. The big attraction is the closeness to other attractions (I travelled around on the train, Affoltern has frequent services on the line between Zurich and Zug) visiting Zurich and Lucerne, the mountains and the lakes ...

Horgen is a charming little village, lovely to walk around.

Horgen is a charming little village, lovely to walk around. It has a quaint centre and a beautiful waterfront. Easy travel into Zurich by train. Easy travel to mountains and skiing by train or car. Good supermarkets with good opening hours. We didn’t try the restaurants as we were visiting relatives but we did get a great takeaway - burritos. You can even swim in Lake Zurich by walking down to the waterside at various points. Great.
