The view from the balcony was fascinating! I am still seeing it in front of my eyes. Breakfast was good - nothing special. The size of the room is ok, we were two people with a apartment (two rooms) and we had enough space, but in the regular double room is quite small. Anyways, those small minuses fades when I remember the view and the helpful stuff there. I really recommend the place to everyone visiting Murren <3!

We've skiied all over the US and Canada.

We've skiied all over the US and Canada. This was our first European ski experience. The town of Zermatt is as good or better than any ski town (breck, Banff, Park City, etc). The skiing was great - early season so the Italian side was better. Highly recommend getting the 5 day lift tix with access to both Swiss and Italian slopes. We were there over Christmas - super high season - and never had to wait more than a few minutes to cue for a lift/ gondola/ train. Many shopping and dining options in Zermatt. The car-free nature of the town made for a lovely experience!

We went there during winter, without thinking of skiing.

We went there during winter, without thinking of skiing. We visited many of the most touristic places, like Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch, plus other cities around. The hikes plus the views were incredible, I totally recommend them. One of the days we went to Grindelwald terminal, where we rented a sledge and took a cable car to play with it. It was really fun, and if it weren't because of the time, I would have gotten the day pass to go over and over again. I really want to go back again, but next time I'll probably include more winter sports, like skiing and more sledges adventures. One more hint, check the activities available for the time of the year you are visiting. We wanted to do sledging in one of the mountains, but that specific route was closed, so we moved somewhere else to do it. Lastly, Switzerland in general is a bit expensive and Interlaken is no exception. Keep in mind your budge for food. We went to McDonnalds where we got 2 combos and we spent around 30 pounds.

Monteux is an exceptional place. we visited the Christmas markets and had a day out at Gstaad. Boats were not running, but it was winter, so we knew that. We took the MOB to Gstaard, train was excellent - Gstaard exceptional for a few hours visit. We decided to go and walk through the cobbled area of Old Town Montreux, but thee was nothing there -nice view when we go to the top, but nothing interesting on the way up.

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

This storybook village has grown up quite a bit but is still a great place to walk around, shop and dine. The mountain views and ice caverns on the Jungfrau were spectacular and while very busy, the crowds visiting the mountain were well managed with plenty of transportation options. The train station at the cable car was a long ways from the business center and tricky to find on foot. We learned to use the trains more to get from one end of town to the other and avoid the sometimes treacherous traffic. The village really needs a 20 KPH speed limit on the narrow/slippery road given the tourist foot traffic crossing to visit all the shops. We hope to return in the spring/summer to do some hiking and find more serenity in the natural beauty of the place.

Very old, charming mountain city...easy to access and to move about. Shops looked wonderful as well as access to hiking or exploring countryside but we unfortunately didn't book enough time. Thinking of returning. A hidden gem! Only had time for one restaurant, which was a Thai one and it was fantastic! Right around corner from hotel....there are, of course, many other options.

The lake and the wonderful atmosphere in the old town. We didn’t spend long enough to properly explore more of the area but being able to step out of the hotel early morning and be surrounded by with so much natural beauty was uplifting vto say the least. We walked to the Madonna del Sasso and saw lLocarno and the lake from above. Would love to come back in summer to explore many hiking trails in the area. The unexpected start of Winterland was an added bonus.

Not a good place for skiing, there are too many people going up the mountain every day, with only one lift going up. Hundreds of tourists not skiing using the same lift. We stood in a chaotic queue from the parking lot in the mornings foe at least 40 minutes to get onto the first lift. Half of our time we were not able to go up to Titlist as there were too many people. VERY EXPENSIVE for very little ski. Not worth it.
