The staff was so exceptionally friendly - giving us a map with their personal highlights of Lyon that we had to see in our 2 day stay, pointing us to the rentable bikes throughout the city that we could take advantage of, and making sure that when my husband had an injury that was flaring up, we were provided with plenty of ice and reassured that they would call excellent doctors for us if we wanted.

Lovely big bedroom and bathroom. Extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Raphael, on reception was so welcoming and helpful with everything we asked. It’s a family run hotel and you can really tell the difference in the effort made to ensure all is as it should be. Unfortunately it wasn’t the weather to take advantage of the outdoor pool but it did look very inviting and was well presented with a garden and patio around it. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and good value for money. I especially enjoyed my goat’s cheese and smoked duck salad, I’d go back just to have that again. The breakfast was exceptional. There is even a juice machine for anyone feeling they want you to be healthy. We will definitely be back.

1-They treated us as real guests ! They never ask for credit cards to block our money, or pay deposit, although , we had our dinner in the 3 stars Mechlin restaurant and the cost was over 600 €, no one asks us to sign anything, all was charged to the room, professional staff, they spot what you like and what you don’t, like our drinks on the breakfast for the next day, they pay attention for the details. 2- They granted us gifts, desserts, cakes, with a nice message left on the table informing us that there is a gift for us in the mini bar. 3- so friendly staff, we love everything from the moment we checked in, to the moment we check out, also a gift from the garden upon our check out. Amazing hotel, last but not least the location was wonderful, our room was Mountain View, Definitely would come back again

The breakfast was amazing! A wide range of food to choose from, a lot of local products and amazing views from the restaurant are always a plus!! :) The service really makes a guest feel special. I also requested to have a birthday cake that was brought to us with room service for breakfast - that was a lovely experience and the hotel was very nice and helpful.

It’s a very beautiful city. Compared to other cities in France, the people were helpful and very polite. The food was a highlight, and we tried the local dishes, but we didn’t really enjoy them that much.

Walking the cobblestone streets and the canals of the old town was amazing. The history that surrounds you is mind blowing. The views at the lake and the snow covered mountains are breath taking! And the Christmas Market. It was fantastic. It is a magical place and deserving of the nick name, the Venice of the Alps.

Poco Loco was as good as ever.

Poco Loco was as good as ever. Tried Josephine for the first time and it was excellent food! There 20th - 23rd December. Chamonix was struggling for snow. Fine above the first gondola, but no snow below it. Sign of the times I suppose. Maybe Whistler Blackcomb for the next trip...

The city seemed just abandoned, although the location is very nice with the Alps on the backdrop, city center feels as if it is in a declining mode. Restaurants and retail shops look as if they are in a different country not in France. We are not coming back anytime soon

We actually ended up staying here due to an issue with an Airbnb in another city. But it was easy to book, the people were friendly, and the surrounding area to walk around was beautiful. Looked like there was a lot more to explore had we stayed longer.

Location was good - right in the heart of the village and just a short walk from the shops and slopes. Apartment was comfortable, though single beds were quite short (for taller teenagers). All the appliances worked and the bathrooms were small but functional. A word of warning to people used to AirBnB - you have to pay for all bedlinen and towels and bring them up from and carry them back to the Interhome offices. TV channels only available in French - not ideal for non-French speakers. Staff at Interhome seemed very bothered when asked any questions. Might be a little pedantic here but washing/drying facilities - rather than the village laundromat would be a useful inclusion - esp. when staying for a week.

I made 3 separate booking .You have to buy your own Toilet paper .room cleaning is extra charge .If I booked 3 times in separate occasions they must be doing the bed and give the cleaned room to me no matter its same room . I paid full price .There was a bug at the window and Room220 is right at the road where Tram runs 24 hours almost .Christina is very rude so be firm with her .The rest of girls are really nice and speaks some English.Christina does not know English at all .She should not be working at a hotel where mostly Foreigners stays .

Tignes is beautiful and has captured our hearts. Very nice destination for ski beginners too. We stayed at Val claret and the bus service there is free. The kids used the free cable car as they were learners at le lac. You can go skiing, snowboarding, sledging....so many options. Loads of options to learn and have fun.

I was there on a Monday, and then Absolutely Nothing is happening. The (only) museum is closed on both Monday and Tuesday. All bookshops (apart from FNAC) were closed as well. Maybe other weekdays are better, but do not go there on Monday.
