The staff were friendly and helpful with planning and suggestions. They recommended the Schnuggebock restaurant (only accessible by car), which was a fun experience and good food. The mini bar in the room was useful. The lobby had a good selection of snacks and drinks. The view was fantastic and the sleep was quiet. The location is perfect for visiting the Ebenalp area, which is not to be missed. Free parking.

A very charming little castle just above Lake Constance nestle in a beautiful garden, walking distance to the lake. The rooms a spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. Don't miss out on the excellent restaurant! The 4 course menu is an absolut must! Modern German kitchen from local produce. Delicious! The service is very friendly and accommodating! Same goes for the breakfast: very friendly service and local breads, marmalades and cheeses.

Very good position, and so close to the railway station. The decoration is new and pretty, and the room is not noisy considering its convenient location. Staffs are nice and helping us with smiles. Definitely a recommendation to all.

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are...

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap). Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation. If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

I booked the hotel in Uzwil to use it as a “hub” for further visits by car to many historic and cultural sights in the eastern part of Switzerland, Lichtenstein and southern Germany (St.Gallen, Winterthur, Stein am Rhein, Zurich, Appenzell, Konstanz, etc.). From this point of view the choice of this hotel in the small town of Uzwil was right. Uzwil is a small town/village. There are no special attractions. It was difficult to navigate because of the major extensive road works in the area around the Hotel Uzwil. Hotel's restaurant is fine but quite overpriced. Fortunately there is an excellent restaurant "Freudenberg" at a distance of 600 meters (you need to climb up to the hill). Coop and Migros restaurants are just nearby.

This apartment was SO NICE.

This apartment was SO NICE. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Parking was included and was right across the street in the garage. We ate at the Kabob place two doors down and the food was great. Herisau is such a quaint little town and so close to St. Gallen and other areas of interest. There is a MIGROS store across the street and was so convenient. There is no interaction with the owners, but the code they left us got us in and was perfectly fine. If you do stay there, just know that the name of the hotel is NOT listed on the building, so we had a little bit of a hard time locating it.

The hotel was very friendly and parking was very easy. Our balcony had a marvellous view of Lake Constance. It was short walk downhill to the lakefront, with various acxtivities in the marina area (including a curry wurst stand). We ate in the restaurant at the hotel, and the food was just fine. The breakfast selection was reasonable for the area. (no fried eggs though!) We would certainly stay again

A very interesting place with a lovely old town, and stunning scenery in the area. Particularly, I would recommend visiting the Abbey Library, a stunning place, and the three lakes beauty spot up on the side of the valley, above the town.

I thought the city was lovely.

I thought the city was lovely. We went various places from there. It would have been easier if more people spoke English or French, but we managed. Also, a lot of stores just never seemed to be open unless they were in malls. Some did open around noon, but closed early. We tried different restaurants. The transportation system overall in Switzerland was wonderful. We loved the library and Cathedral in St. Gallen.
