We stayed here in 2022 and now again in 2023...and this is still one of those really great unique hotels...top of the Grimsel Pass in central Switzerland...the weather determines everything...one moment thick cloud and then a stunning view..thats the Alps for you. We had a great terrace overlooking the lake ...the room is huge...the bed as comfy as comfy land...lots of hanging space and spotlessly clean....

Had a wonderful week there. Exactly what we were after! Direct access to the ski tracks, a sauna, lot's of space to read, play, work or talk in a very in-distractive environment. And even the yoga lessons. Will return definitely. Everyone is so lovely and you feel welcome from the first moment.

A beautiful family-run hotel in a magnificent part of Switzerland. The views along the Goms valley were outstanding. My room had a view along the length of the valley to the mountains around the Furka Pass. I was given an upgrade to a larger corner room which was extremely comfortable with a king-size bed, desk and sofa. The couple who own the hotel gave me a lift from the station on arrival and back to the station on departure. Breakfast was very good with an outstanding selection of different bread. Ham and/or salami was for you to slice yourself on a traditional machine. Excellent coffee. One real novelty was a multi-purpose tap on the landing providing chilled, sparkling and boiling water.

We enjoyed our stay at the Swiss Lodge Joopi, we found the staff very friendly and welcoming, we never had an evening meal in their restaurant as we had eaten before we arrived however looking at the amount of people in the restaurant and the lovely smells coming from the dining room one could imagine the food being good. The young waiter was very helpful during our stay and we would like to pass on our thanks. There was Free parking facilities at the hotel which was 1st come 1st served bases and cannot be pre booked. The hotel is off the main road tucked away down a little stream close to the al train line which we never heard.

A really authentic wooden building with cozy rooms. The receptionist was super friendly, warm and welcoming, she made as feel very relaxed and at home. The room was spotless, all the facilities working properly. Breakfast also was good.

We ran late on our road trip the two owners waited for us and welcomed us at 23:00. They were so accommodating and warm, offering us a welcome drink and making us feel at home. This property is newly renovated and in mint condition. Food is amazing and on a different level! If you are in the area this is a must do experience!
