I loved the location and the view, the spacious and comfortable room. We had a balcony with lovely seaview. The hotel has two restaurants by the sea: One a la carte and one pizzeria. There is also a wonderful Thai restaurant just ten steps from the hotel.
Also a great surprise that we could take a public boat to Luzern and to Alpnachstad (the station for Mt Pilatus) from right outside the hotel.

This is the perfect place who want to have leisure stay , scenic views and away from city but still easily accessible. Restaurant is great, nice breakfast and dinner. Rooms are cozy and clean. Staff is friendly.

This city is a short distance from Lucerne.
This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.

there was a mountain top with gondola ride to get to top, but it was closed from march'25 to may'25 (I think due to refurbishment - all notices were in german).
there is a nice grocery shop only a few mins walk away - with pretty generous timings

1. Breakfast at Spices Kitchen & Terrace - breathtaking view of Lake Lucerne for breakfast. Go early to get a table near the window.
2. Restaurant Taverne - its rosti is the best I have eaten in Switzerland. Must try!
3. For tennis players, must visit Diamond Domes to play tennis. For golfers, must try the 9 hole golf course with stunning scenery.
4. Experience the Hammetschwand Lift and the Suspension Stairs.
5. Enjoy the funicular railway and catamaran to Lucerne and return. All complimentary for hotel guests.
6. Download the Burgenstock App and check out the daily activities. There are Core & Stretch, Aqua Fitness, History Tour and Burgenstock Resort Movie.
7. Must visit the Spa to enjoy the indoor and outdoor pool, infinity pool, steam room, sauna room, floating pool, foot spa and the relaxation area.

It's a nice village close to Luzern and Stans.
It's a nice village close to Luzern and Stans. You can easily get the train to Luzern or Engelberg and visit the Stanserhorn bahn or the Titlis bahn. Where you can ski, take in the beautiful views or do some walking.
It is by the lake and there are some good restaurants close by and also by the lake with lovely views and good pizza! you can also take a nice walk around the lake too.

We stop off in Beckenreid for coffee, enroute to and from...
We stop off in Beckenreid for coffee, enroute to and from Italy. But recently a stop off to be close to the St Gotthard tunnel, as its busy especially in the summer.
Beckenreid has multiple facilities, coffee shops, supermarkets, petrol station and ferry stops, going to Lucerne and directly across the lake.
It is just off the motorway.

The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium...
The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium Alpinum where I require to walk to the office. Also, there is no uber or any local app for cab to be there within the city ride. However, the buses and trains are well connected as the timings alone required to be known well in advance before you travel for the day as the nearest hill for food is Sarnen and nearest station is Stans and from there, you could travel to Lucern or stop trains through hops for Zurich.

Best view of lake and walking areas to parks with a good childrens park nearby. Nice to see old swiss building and customs Public transport good with bus to Stans and from there train to Lucern and Ettenbergen mountain area. Also nice cafes at nearby Beckenreid on lake . Close to tracks for mountain walking .
