We were welcomed by Charlie who was very friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything that we needed. The room was nice and clean, with comfortable beds and a beautiful view. Wellness was great, with large sauna and relax room. Breakfast was very tasty.

Nice room with mountain view. Amazing hospitality from Jorst (breakfast time he did coffee for us and little talk about where to go and best views). Swimming pool and gym and sauna very relaxing. Several tracks for walking very close. Lift for upper floors. Host provided us skipass for nearest telecabins. Summer season is nice in this space. We went to Lausanne every day and it was very hot season down but in the mountain it was fresh and nice sleep with no need for air conditioning. Hope to return in winter one day.

The town is very small so it's very easy to get around.

The town is very small so it's very easy to get around. The town itself is very nice and clean, there are lots of flowers. The views are stunning. The hotel guests are provided with passes allowing to use the cable cars to go up the mountains for hiking or just walking. The same passes also provide free access to the town swimming pool.

Great starting point for access into Porte due Soliel area...

Great starting point for access into Porte due Soliel area with just one chairlift taking you to run down to Avoriaz. Les Crosets itself is a small village with a lack of amenities, so be prepared for high eating out costs and with only a small shop, choices are limited. In that sense, staying in Champery may be the better option with just one cable car to get you up to the ski area each morning. But if you're looking for easy access with great views and charm, Les Crosets is definitely a good choice if staying in Swiss side. Transport is also very easy with a train from Geneva airport with just one change at Aigle to perform. The bus from Val D'Illiez takes you straight to village.

Driving up the mountain was quite an adventure for someone...

Driving up the mountain was quite an adventure for someone like me, accustomed to the pancake-flat roads of the Netherlands. The winding roads were challenging, especially with a few cars descending as I made my way up. At one point, I even had to turn around after missing a left turn just past a restaurant—but what a blessing in disguise that was, giving me an extra moment to take in the breathtaking scenery. The view from the top was absolutely worth every twist and turn. A truly unforgettable experience!

It is a perfect place to feel the alpine ambiance, quietness all together with the always present swiss cows with their bells accompanying our daily experiences. The location is just special and retired from the crowded chalets in Champéry. Generous owners that decided to share his paradise. Don´t miss this opportunity!

Small ski area to start.

Small ski area to start. Easy to cross to Crossets, Morgins and then France: Avoriaz, Chatel, ... Champoussin is not for absolute beginners. To reach the little village, you need some red slopes or at least some weeks of ski experience.

Although there are more picturesque locations high in the mountains nearby,acccess to these places was close but the benefits of Collombey are the facilities with plenty of places to go so a fantastic base

This was the ideal place for our family vacation with a 6-year old: the Aquaparc and the Swiss Vapeur Parc are lots of fun! The Labyrinthe Aventure isn't too far away by car (and our son loved it!) We enjoyed the sand beach at the camping site too. There are a number of other fun things to see in the area which we unfortunately didn't have time for, including Aquatis (a large aquarium), castle Aigle and castle Chillon, Barry Land, Western City, the salt mine in Bex, ... Our son already misses Le Bouveret, so we may have to go back someday ;-)

We stayed for six days in Champery in January for skiing in...

We stayed for six days in Champery in January for skiing in Portes-du-Soleil. The ski resort is huge. We were able to never do the same run and lift three days in a row. Champery is a historic Suisse alpine village with nicely presented shops, bars and restaurants. Expect to spend approx +30% in Switzerland on everything - especially food. Be prepared that some shops take only cash and impose any cash withdrawal fees on you.

This is great place to stay, about 200m from the lifts to a Port du Soleil. There are a few restraunts, exclusive to less expensive and a couple of bars. I would say the Swis side is more London Prices where as France is that plus 10% a bit cheaper than France. No issues skiing into France.
