It has all the amenities you require, however if you have 2 suitcases, it difficult to open it :) 2. Bathroom - clean and spacious 3. Staff - very friendly. After staying in Grindelwald which is full of “pictures hunting” loud tourist groups a stay in this hotel was like a paradise. No one with selfie sticks, no loud people taking a pictures everywhere including wellness area. The hotel is clean, quiet, close to the railway station. We had a sea view double room with a balcony and it was a perfect choice - the view was amazing and siting at a balcony and watching a lake was a perfect relax. Nice swimming pool with warm water, clean saunas and comfortable sunbeds by the lake, where is possible to swim. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice, especialy Swiss cheese were amazing. Hotel has a restaurant which isn’t the best restaurant we have ever visited but It´s normal good restaurant with prices similar to the other places in Switzerland, the Coop market is on the other site of the road, just cross the street, train station less than 10 minutes walk

This was my best hotel experience in Europe! Everything from the exterior to interior design to the smallest details of decor weren't soulless luxury but tastefully thought through and intentional. The utilisation of space in the room was impeccable. The lobby was amazing! And the breakfast though wasn't a huge spread but delicious. Oh and the coffee, no words! The location was prime, walking distance to the old town, train & ferry stations. But above all of this, the most amazing staff! The room was exactly as in the pictures. Also the view of Mt Pilatus was breathtaking.

Everything was perfect. The view was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful. Close to the city (18 min. by bus and they provided a guest card/ticket for our convenience when commuting) but actually you feel like you are in the suburbs.Very clean and spacious rooms. They also let us leave our suitcases there after check out so that we could explore the city. We really wanted to stay more but everything was already booked.We just wish we didn't have to leave.

Booked the Swiss Chalet but got lucky to be upgraded to the Schloss hotel opposite the road. It is beside Lucerne lake and has a good view from the room. Breakfast had freshly made eggs and bacon along with other items. Tea/coffee and sweets are available in the common lounge area 24x7. The best part is the room fridge is stocked daily with beers, coke and water.

A cozy and beautiful hotel located not far away from the train station and major attractions. The rooms are clean and fully provided with amenities. A souvenir glass bottle was given to each guest, which could be refilled with drinking warer (still and sparkling!) at the lobby. Staff are friendly and attentive. A nice place to stay in Lucerne.

Lucerne was absolutely beautiful.

Lucerne was absolutely beautiful. I am so glad we decided to visit Lucerne versus Zurich. It is a walk-able city, the food was delicious everywhere we went, it is kid-friendly, and the chocolate we purchased there was the best I have ever had. It was close to Mount Titlis, which is a must if visiting Lucerne. Well worth the trip!

This city is a short distance from Lucerne.

This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.

This B&B is recommended is the whole place is occupied by a 8-12 people group. Occupancy by different, small groups of guest is less convenient due to the nature of the common shared toilet/bathroom facilities.

The old town of Lucerne is beautiful, full of character, the wooden Chapel bridge is quite something and the Swiss Transport Museum is very good. There are plenty of fabulous excursions you can take, a few to mention that I have enjoyed: Lake Steamer and cogwheel train up Mount Rigi. Trip to Engleberg and Cable car up Mount Titlis. Day visit to Grindlewald, Wengen and Jungfrau. Plan your trips before hand as it may be cheaper with a Half Fare Card.

We were travelling by car, and wanted to be somewhere near Lucerne where we planned to have supper. Huobschur is in the most beautiful setting. Natural paradise with clean air, exquisite views, beautiful bird sound, delightful donkeys and goats. And an extremely gracious, kind and accommodating host and his small team. A total refreshment for our tired travelling spirits! We loved the wooden cabin, simply and beautifully furnished with wooden furniture. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast was exceptional with homemade bread, delicious locally produced fruit yoghurt and muesli, delicious meat and cheese and lovely fresh fruit. All great value for money. What a gem! Sadly, we only had one night there. We will return as soon as we can. ❤️

Luzern is a small, cute and very walkable city with a medieval feel however I found it far too touristy for my taste and in a few hours, you’ve pretty much seen everything. It’s a great stopover if you’d like to visit nearby mountains such as Rigi or Pilatus, or take a scenic boat trip around the lake but that’s about it. There are quite a few museums as well but Basel definitely beats Luzern on this point. Restaurants are super expensive, though that was to be expected.
